"Cesar did an excellent job of painting the inside of my house from the ceiling, walls to the baseboards. He was reliable, helpful, and a pleasure to have around . Cesar is honest, trustworthy, and cares about the quality of his work and making sure that his clients are happy and satisfied. I can’t talk highly enough about him.I would definitely recommend him and have already done so."

"Flexible, efficient and paid attention to details. We had Todd and crew paint the living room, dining room, kitchen and hallway walls and ceilings. (One ceiling was vaulted.) Todd was able to shift midstream when my wife decided she didn’t like the color of the first coat. Going to a new color did not extend the timeframe or cost of the job. (Other than the additional paint. Very happy and would highly recommend."

Popcorn Ceilings questions, answered by experts

Yes, you just may need to add an extra coat or two of primer to already painted ceilings. This will help mask the old paint and give you a fresh canvas on which to add your new texture.

Yes, you can cover a popcorn ceiling, which is often more cost-effective and easier than scraping it off. Common methods include using ceiling-grade drywall, applying a skim coat, or installing beadboard panels to create a smooth, updated finish. Covering the ceiling can also protect you from asbestos exposure if the material contains it. However, it's important to note that this method only seals off the asbestos and does not eliminate it, which could be a concern for future renovations or home resale. If you suspect your ceiling contains asbestos, it's best to hire a local asbestos abatement company to test the material and manage its safe removal.

Textured ceilings add visual interest and personality to a room, breaking away from the flat, uniform look of smooth ceilings. They are also practical, as the texture helps to hide imperfections, making them ideal for older homes or spaces prone to wear and tear. Textured ceilings come in a variety of patterns, giving homeowners the flexibility to choose a style that complements their design preferences, whether they want something subtle or more intricate. Additionally, certain textures can help with sound absorption, making rooms quieter and more comfortable.

The average popcorn ceiling removal costs around $2,000, but prices can range from $950 to $3,100, depending on the size, accessibility, and whether or not there’s asbestos or lead paint.

We don’t recommend DIYing this project to save money, but you can DIY the prep work to speed things up. Consider removing furniture, ceiling lights, and other fixtures before the workers arrive on site. To be extra helpful, cover any remaining belongings with plastic tarps and secure them with tape.

On average, repairing a ceiling costs anywhere from $450 to $1,750. However, there are many variables that can impact the price of this project. For example, the type of ceiling material, type and extent of the damage, and local labor rates all affect your costs. Holes and cracks are less expensive to fix, while structural issues and water damage are pricier problems.
