"Cesar did an excellent job of painting the inside of my house from the ceiling, walls to the baseboards. He was reliable, helpful, and a pleasure to have around . Cesar is honest, trustworthy, and cares about the quality of his work and making sure that his clients are happy and satisfied. I can’t talk highly enough about him.I would definitely recommend him and have already done so."

"Flexible, efficient and paid attention to details. We had Todd and crew paint the living room, dining room, kitchen and hallway walls and ceilings. (One ceiling was vaulted.) Todd was able to shift midstream when my wife decided she didn’t like the color of the first coat. Going to a new color did not extend the timeframe or cost of the job. (Other than the additional paint. Very happy and would highly recommend."

Popcorn Ceilings questions, answered by experts

Yes, you can cover a popcorn ceiling, which is often more cost-effective and easier than scraping it off. Common methods include using ceiling-grade drywall, applying a skim coat, or installing beadboard panels to create a smooth, updated finish. Covering the ceiling can also protect you from asbestos exposure if the material contains it. However, it's important to note that this method only seals off the asbestos and does not eliminate it, which could be a concern for future renovations or home resale. If you suspect your ceiling contains asbestos, it's best to hire a local asbestos abatement company to test the material and manage its safe removal.

It depends on the type of texture you’re adding but yes, you can often use a roller to texturize a ceiling. The roller needs to be able to hold enough medium to create some relief on the ceiling but not so much that gravity will pull it off before it dries. Using a roller with a nap between ½” and ¾” will allow the roller to hold enough material to do the trick.

It is often less expensive to cover a popcorn ceiling instead of removing it. Installing drywall costs $1.50 to $3 per square foot, whereas popcorn ceiling removal averages $7 per square foot. Another option may be installing beadboard panels over top, giving your ceiling a fresh and modern look.

After removing any type of skylight, you have a few options for the ceiling. You can patch and repair the ceiling to match the surrounding area, ensuring a smooth and seamless finish. Alternatively, you can install a light fixture or a ceiling fan in place of the skylight to maintain functionality and enhance the room's lighting and ventilation. Ultimately, the choice depends on your preferences and the specific requirements of the space. No matter what you choose, you’ll probably want to call in a pro to help.

The cost to repair a ceiling after a water leak can vary, with averages ranging from $419 to $1,359, or $45 to $55 per square foot. Smaller patches may cost around $150. The final price depends on the size of the affected area and the extent of the damage. Remember that you will also need to repair the source of the leak, such as roof damage or a plumbing issue, which can cost an additional $200 to $1,550. Depending on the situation, you might also face costs for repainting or repairing floors. For an accurate estimate, it is best to get a quote from a professional.
