"First of all, this guy is a certificated ARBORIST! He knows trees! This was very important to me. I didn't want "some guy with a chainsaw" to tell me the trees had to come down. After looking over the trees and their location, he told me that the trees would continue their secondary growth and that growth would push up the pavers in the yard, and even if the pavers were reinstalled the secondary growth would push them up again over time. He gave me some options to consider. He is based out of central Orange County and because of distance, he declined to do work in Bellflower which was disappointing. "
"Kevin works with an extensive team of seasoned professionals who know their craft. Everyone was knowledgeable, courteous and helpful throughout. We went over our initial budget, partly because some electrical problems from an earlier renovation arose that needed repairing, and partly because we added a number of bells and whistles after the initial estimate. But for example, the custom maple cabinetry cost far less than we were quoted elsewhere and included a lot of special touches, such as an appliance garage, a cutlery drawer, and a pull-out, multi-shelf spice drawer. At each step in the process, Kevin kept us apprised of costs and got our approval before any work was done. And for all the extras we requested during construction, we had a brand-new kitchen just a couple of days after the original estimated completion date. We couldn?t be happier with the results. Every remodeling job has its glitches and challenges, and ours was no exception, but Kevin went the extra mile to make sure were getting our dream kitchen. And in the end, that?s exactly what we got. Our new kitchen is a joy to cook in ? and we have Kevin and his team to thank for that.
"Originally they were very good they just never come back and taken care of any of the other work, they were good at the very beginning, they were on top of every thing at the very beginning but after they did the initial work and they needed to come back an did touch ups they never come back and done anything more, I can't get them to come back and do anything more.
They are way over priced compare to what they should be and I didn't realize it at the time but when I found out afterwards it was too late."
"Sky renovation was easy to communicate with. They were punctual and very attentive to all our needs and concerns. I was very pleased with their advice and appreciated their honesty in creating a working design that fit our needs. Finally, we never felt that they were trying to "up-sell" us on more expensive designs or work that was not necessary. I will be working with them again."
"Manny does excellent quality work. His prices are very reasonable. I would use him again and I highly recommend him for ANY construction or remodeling work. He leaves the work site broom clean at night."
"Professional, honest, ethical, detail oriented, receptive, and amiable are my first thoughts when I think of Fiorebuilt Construction and their crew. Modern, fully updated, visually appealing, and high quality craftsmanship are my thoughts on the end result of our kitchen and living room remodel. What began as a kitchen remodel ultimately turned into transforming our home from a laid back Californian feel to a classic contemporary updated dream home. We have a million dollar view and now with Anthony’s help our home matches the spectacular setting. Anthony was full of great ideas that inspired us to take the next step updating our living space. His pricing was always very reasonable and his willingness to adjust his work to meet our desires was effortless. His crew was punctual and professional and met our high expectations of quality work and craftmanship. I highly recommend Anthony and Klay at Fiorebuilt Construction to anyone considering a remodel or more that wants a quality job at a reasonable and competitive price.”"
"I had a great experience working with David and his company, DS1 Construction. From the very start, David was prompt on arrival to perform an estimate on work. He said that he treated big and small jobs with the same attention and respect and he proved that through out the course of the job. He responded promptly after our first meeting with an estimate via e-mail. I interviewed 8 contractors for this job. I received estimates from 5. DS1 gave me the most detailed and realistic estimate in my opinion. The entire scope of the job was discussed. This was a renovation complicated by the previous owners poor home improvement attempts. The kitchen and bathroom cabinetry and counters were replaced. The interior floors were demolished and replaced with ceramic tile. All the demolished materials were disposed of by DS1. The patio area had been poorly tiled by the previous owner, so the tile was removed, concrete prepared, color stained and sealed. All the bathroom and kitchen fixtures were replaced along with the garbage disposal. An over cooktop microwave and vent were installed along with a new subway tile backsplash. David was available by phone or e-mail throughout the job. Payment schedules were clear and he never once asked for payment before all of the work on the schedule was completed to my satisfaction. The condominium complex this unit is in has very strict criteria for any contractor on premises. DS1 had no problem meeting all requirements and proving all insurances were active and in place, and all licensing requirements were met. To top this all off, I was working with David and DS1, LONG DISTANCE! David made the process , that is usually stressful, super easy. With the help of a friend of a good friend in LA, each stage of the project was inspected and as each stage of the job was complete, payment was made as agreed in our written contract. I would not hesitate to work with David and DS1 Construction in the future or recommend anyone else to speak with David and his company to get an estimate on their construction project. I found David and DS1 to be consistent in their work ethic and performance. I am very pleased with the work performed and the quality of product used by DS1.
"We would like to thank Steve and everyone else involved on our kitchens new look. Cabinet designer did an amazing job, incorporating them with the rest of the house. Electricians were very detail oriented, tight cables, safety pipes and very useful tips. Plumbers were also very efficient, and managed to satisfy my dads wishes in terms of path and material. Crew that did our tiles was very friendly, offered us designs, many possible options and some hints on color match etc. They were very friendly, polite, informative and above everything very professional. They showed up to work each day on time and sometimes even earlier. Leaving their job site left us every day with clean area, excess garbage was removed, everything tidy and sorted out in piles then removed. Our questions were approached seriously and I'm personally very happy with all of their answers, especially with Steve's, his tips were priceless. I believe the whole project was a huge success because we managed to establish excellent communication with Steve and his crew. Every step in the remodeling process went smoothly. From the first day, when they started with removal of overused equipment and interior to the final days of cabinet installation, painting and doing the final touches, Steve was there 100% of the time spent. He was right on top of each job that needed his attention.
We had a total kitchen remodeling ? every cabinet and counter top, electrical and plumbing changed, new floor, and one window removed and another window moved a bit with some wall adjustment. The complete job is very well done. They managed to fit into our budget quite easy, since I never heard a word about it. And everything is so gorgeous. The tile work on our floor is my favorite part beside cabinets. The finish on our cabinets is beautiful and detailed. Working with Steve and his crew was a fun and pleasant experience. We can tell that each person on the team is proud of the work they did. We really do recommend this company to every one we know who needs any job done to their home, either interior or exterior, they'll sort you out."
"What they promised and what they planned to deliver were two different things. Eventually, we were able to ge twhat we expected. However, it required a tremendous amount of patience and perserverance. We had to get the owner (Joseph) involved, and only after threatening to withhold payment, was the job completed the way it was promised. We were pleased with the final result, but felt pretty beat up by the process. Part of the problem may be cultural differences in style of communication. Joseph seems to have high values and expectations, but he suggested that our crew was not yet up to the high bar he sets for his company. We do love our kitchen."
"They were awesome. We had a remodel done and they are going to come back and finish up some job. Him and his son were the hardest workers. They were really good. They came early in the morning and they stayed until the job was done. They did not even call off early. They worked so hard, because they did not want my house torn up for a long time. We looked for a long time for framers and they were so good. I was very happy with them. They called when they said they would call. If they were late, they would call and let us know; not very many people do that. We would definitely recommend them. They gave us the best quote out of everybody. We looked for four years for somebody and we had outrageous quotes. We were able to do the whole thing under $10,000 and that was our number, and we had people quote us double that. They did not think this job was too small for them, they did not care, they took it."
Seeps and springs form when groundwater reaches the earth’s surface. The main differences between them are the amount of water and the flow rate. Seeps are smaller than springs and consist of water that’s stagnant or flows slowly. Springs contain more water and flow more quickly.
One reason you may want to fill in your pond is the cost of maintenance. Pond cleaning may cost about $1,000 for an annual cleanup, or monthly visits may cost $75 to $100 per visit. If you don’t want to spend that much per year on pond upkeep, you may consider filling in your pond.
Deep clean your koi pond at least once a year to keep your fish healthy and your pond in good shape. Water testing, debris removal, and partial water changes should be performed weekly. Seasonal professional service will ensure everything is clean and functioning properly.
Yes, natural pools can get algae since they use the same filtration processes as lakes or streams. However, you can reduce the risk of algae by adding more algae-fighting plants and not installing your natural swimming pool in direct sunlight, as it promotes algae growth.
