Joseph Pawlyshyn of MDR has disappointed us many number of times. For the sake of brevity the following are just some examples of the problems we had with his work and work ethic:
1. We moved out and they demo'd our place without permits. He was not upfront about how long the permits would take to get.
2. He had a job site that was not clean as he promised.
3. He told us and it was in our contract that we would have wood siding but it turned out to be a cheap composite that a home depot rep confirmed and added that the quality of the siding installation was poor.
4. He was not accurate with respect to the time it would take to finish the job and if he was we would not have had to move 2 times instead of one.
5. We ended up living in the house while some toxic work was done and his poor planning cost us considerable personal time of which we have very little.
6. Our heating system does not heat the whole house. He refuses to let us speak to the "heating guy" or give us the specs of the units that were installed and states the work was done under his license.
7. Our heated floors do not work properly. His knowledge of them was limited as there were options we would have purchased to be able to use them on a timer. One doesn't heat the floor at all.
8. The tile work is poor. We bought beautiful and expansive tile that was poorly installed-broken and crooked.
9. He now refuses to come back and fix several issues for us and has sent us bills for things that were paid for already.
What good is a 10 year warranty if the guy won't call you back or return your emails. If something doesn't work instead of fixing it he comes up with another bill for something you have paid for before. Rather than look for solutions and take responsibility for his work he would rather make excuses. You have been warned. We weren't.

We entered into Escrow on a new home when I was 8 months pregnant and immediately gathered bids to complete the extensive remodeling the house needed. We had exactly 6 weeks from the close of escrow to work on the new house until we had to move out of our old house- and our son was born in the middle of that time! I had remodeled our last home on a shoe-string budget, managing the sub-contractors myself, and learned from that process how unreliable, shady and frustrating contractors could be! Joseph was different. He was a real pleasure to work with and made what could have been an extremely stressful endeavor a fond, exciting time in our lives. His team showed up when they said they would, handled the issues that arose without asking for a lot more money, and FINISHED WHEN THEY SAID THEY WOULD.
My husband and I are thrilled with the results and would not hesitate to call him again.
Definitely call him for a quote, tour his job sites and interview his references. You will see I am not alone in my glowing assessment!
