The bids I received were $285.00, $332.00 and $400.00. I chose Valley and went with their $332.00 bid and used my $20 Angie's List coupon bringing the cost down to $312.00
The appointment was for today, between 6:30am and 9am. Kirk showed up at 7:15am and was polite and professional - even in the bitter cold this morning.
He completed the work in about an hour, showed me how to use the new equipment and left me with the proper paperwork.

"Mr. Stillman was so very easy to work with. He studied the scope of the work which involved replacing about 165 ft of leaking gas lines. PG&E discovered the leak And shut off the gas to both homes on our property. We contacted Discount Plumbing in Manteca but they couldn' t be bothered to provide an estimate. We also had Knight Plumbing out from Stockton. They quoted us over $12,000 and actually told us to consider changing over to propane. The 15 ft job done by Discount Plumbing to get gas to the first house cost $1,450 and the union wasn' t even on the side it belonged. Mr. Stillman explained the entire job and completed it in less time than it took the other companies to prepare their quotes. The entire bill was under $6,800 total. He worked all day, every day and understood that by the time we found him we had been without gas for four weeks! We will always call Mr. Stillman if we have additional plumbing needs and strongly recommend him to anyone who is wanting an excellent job done for an excellent, faiir price.."

"Called Trio Heating on a late Friday afternoon and they sent out two technicians (Jose & Dallin) the next morning to fix a gas heater that would not turn on. Their communication from beginning to end was great. They sent me a text 45 minutes before their arrival time and I was able to track their ETA which was extremely helpful. They explained to me what the issue was. I was able to run out and buy a new thermostat for them to install. They did a great job, cleaned everything up and put everything back together. They also typed up everything they worked on and took multiple detailed photos of the unit and emailed 10 minutes after they left. I think what they charged was extremely reasonable for the quality of work. I really appreciated not being charged a higher fee for coming out on a weekend. Will definitely use them again for my HVAC needs!"
