"I had a drainage issue around a building on a concrete pad on my property. Jake, the proprietor, visited, assessed the issue and made a plan to put channel drains in the concrete pad to drain the water. He was able to put two well placed drains in the areas needing drainage. We have since had two heavy rains. No water has collected and the drains functioned perfectly. Price was very reasonable and Jake was a pleasure to work with. Highly recommend!"

"From drab to fabulous! Eco home Builders did a fantastic job on my main bathroom remodel. I'm a Real Estate Broker and have gone through countless remodels and contractors over the past two decades. Eden did a wonderful job managing the project. Always communicating and being available through the whole project was a huge plus. The contractors did an outstanding job and really paid attention to detail. A lot of large tile pieces went into this project, and I was in very impressed with their skill. We were also impressed with their cabinet maker who did a great job basically building a beautiful piece of art. The project basically went off without a flaw on time and on budget. I would highly recommend Eco Home Builders to anyone thinking of doing any sort of remodel project, I rarely give reviews, but in this case, I felt it was necessary to give kudos that are well deserved. Thank you all for a wonderful job!"

The White Glove Guys are San Diego's BEST plumbing heating and AC service provider. We are passionate about providing homeowners with the safest, healthiest, most energy efficient and comfortable home. A San Diego staple since 1952. Financing available. License #: 513115. Additional email - [email protected] Additional Contact - Agi Ambrezewicz

"Never again with ASI, the White Glove Guys I just went through a plumbing problem using ASI and will never use them again. My problem started when I could hear water running in a downstairs bathroom. And found that I had water leaking out at the base of the stucco siding behind the bathroom. I called ASI and they were able to send a plumber the next day. The plumber arrives and I explain the situation to him, and we agree that the best (least destructive) way to get to where we hear the leak is from the outside. He cuts an 18-inch square hole in the stucco so that we could see the leak. The good news is that we cut in exactly the right spot to see what was going on. The bad news is that the water was leaking from the sleeve surrounding a branch of the water line that went down into the concrete slab. He tells me he can’t fix the leak, but he will take the appropriate pictures and send them to the person at ASI who does leak detection and have him call me the next day. Cost for his 30 minute visit was $225 ($450 per hour!) and all I have to show for it is a hole in the side of my house. To be fair to the plumber, he didn’t know what he would find, and had the leak been above the slab he could have fixed it and we would have gone happily on our way. The next day comes and goes with no call from ASI, so I call them the following day. They can schedule me in for three days later. I’m thinking that the guy coming is going to locate the leak and fix it, but that’s not what happened. He looked at the problem and we discussed where the possible places where the leaking line could go to. We figure there are two likely places the line goes, one good and one bad. The most likely possibility is to the ice maker in the refrigerator which is in the middle of the slab with no easy way to get to it. The other is to a wet bar sink that was removed many years ago with the line water lines capped off. He says that if the leak is in the unused sink, the water line it will just be capped and it will just be a service call like before. If they have to reroute the water line will be a one-day job which is a fixed price of $2900. Considering that we think that they are going to have to run a line to an outlet in the middle of the slab, the price appeared reasonable, so we schedule for several days later. When the plumbers arrive to do the repair, the first thing is to cap off the leaking line and determine where this line actually goes. The good news is that it isn’t the ice maker, but it wasn’t the capped off wet bar sink either. Instead, this line goes to the kitchen sink. This was the best alternative possible as almost the entire rerouted line could be run outside the house. They proceed and you can see the result in the pictures. The long line on the house turns into the house though a hole they cut in the stucco and through one cabinet and has a shutoff valve on the end of it. On the near end was a down-over-up loop of about 18 inches total to connect to the water supply. They insisted on taking lunch at the point where they just had to solder one last joint. So, after the lunch break they take five minutes to solder the joint and turn on the water to check for leaks. They got here a little before 9 am and even after a 30 lunch, it is 11:30 when they are done. So even though they spend less than half a day running this one line, they still charged the full amount. I complained to the company but their argument is that they change a fix price to protect the customer if the job goes long. The problem is that if the job goes short because they estimated the job incorrectly, the customer does not get a break. In hindsight, the job should have been reevaluated once the true destination of the water line was known and done on a time and material basis. So, the bottom line is that I paid ASI over $3100 for a little over three hours work or about $1000 per hour. I will never use them again!"

"Bait and switch. I obtained multiple quotes for my foundation. Dalinghaus Construction quoted me 19 piers to stabilize my home. I questioned why their competitors were quoting me over 30 piers; and they reassured me I was being over quoted by their competitors. Long story short, I went with Dalinghaus. During construction, a rep (David F) came by to drop off some tools and found that 19 piers would not be enough. They said I needed 14 more piers (totaling 33– same as their competitors). I’m stuck because I cannot leave my home half stabilized. No other reputable company would complete the job if another company started it. I was obligated to move forward with Dalinghaus. No one called to apologize for the misstep. They invoiced me and could care less how much this would affect my family. They proceeded to install14 more piers but left 14 large holes— they said backfilling was not part of the scope of work, while the original 19 were backfilled. Insanely strange why they think I wanted 14 large holes at my home. So this is where they gave me a “discount.” They backfilled the holes for free. Free? It should be included in the work. All in all, why do I have to pay for a mistake of this magnitude? I’ve tried to work it out with them peacefully but they have not provided me anything that would make this right. Only excuses why they should not compensate me. They have no integrity. They only care about their reputation at this point (they want my bbb review taken down). I would like to be compensated for the 14 additional piers that were missed from the original quote. 14 additional piers is a completely new job, not a “new work order.” They are the professional and should have done a more thorough assessment to provide me an accurate quote. Their competitors seemed to have done so but I was sadly duped by Dalinghaus. They baited me in and switched the price after the work started. $38k is a lot to lose. I have 2 small children and a home that needs to be completed. Ps. I’ve been waiting over 2 months for a resolution."

FAQs for foundation drain installation projects in Lakeside, CA

Yes, most states require plumbers to be licensed, and for good reason. Hiring an unlicensed plumber could lead to poor quality work, costly future expenses, and potential code violations.

As you browse our pro listings, take note of the “Angi Approved” badge. Angi Approved businesses meet our standards for certification which include:

  • The owner, principal, or relevant manager passed a criminal background check

  • Required to have applicable state and local licenses

  • Maintain an average star rating of 3.0 or better on our network, if they have at least one review

  • Paying to advertise their services

  • Meeting any other eligibility criteria required by Angi

Keep in mind licensing is different from certifications. A license is a legal requirement to operate a business, while certifications are voluntary.

The cost to finish a basement is $18,400 for the average homeowner. However, this cost could be as little as $2,800 or as much as $34,500, depending on the basement size and the materials needed. If your basement is already outfitted with electrical and plumbing, expect the cost to fall on the lower end.

For example, the drywall cost for this project averages around $1,750, but other features, like hiring a plumber, cost between $45 and $200 per hour.

The cost to remodel a basement is between $12,100 and $33,400 for the average homeowner. The price you pay can be as little as $3,500 or as much as $50,200, depending on the size and condition of your basement and the type of remodel you're doing.

If you're doing a simple project like adding a home office to your basement, you can expect to pay anywhere from $500 to $3,000. However, if you're adding a bathroom, which is an extensive project, you can expect to pay between $6,600 to $16,500.

Foundation repairs cost about $5,000, on average. Typically, prices range from $2,200 to $7,800, depending on the type and extent of repairs needed. Cost factors include foundation type, home size, soil stability, accessibility, and the ultimate cause of the problem and what methods and materials are required to fix it.

The cost of basement waterproofing is $4,950 for the average homeowner. However, you could end up paying between $600 and $14,000, depending on factors like basement size, waterproofing method, and the region you live in.

If you live in an area with heavy rainfall, you might be paying more for waterproofing than if you lived somewhere drier since waterproofing contractors would be in high demand. Likewise, a 500-foot basement costs between $2,500 and $5,000 to waterproof, but that price rises significantly for a larger basement.
