We wanted the BBQ station close to the home for easy access, with the patio extending outward into the yard for more open space. The patio cover was designed with enough height to keep the area open and bright while providing afternoon shade. They also installed new irrigation before planting, and finished the walkways with matching concrete. The finished backyard gives us several useful areas without making the property look overbuilt."

"I've been working on an outdoor entertaining space in our backyard for literally years.  Designing, drawing, getting quotes, redesigning, budgeting, etc.  I could never quite get it right because of some unfortunate property limitations.  Then last December I found a photo on Pinterest of a bbq and entertainment area shaded by a custom-shaped canvas patio roof structure that curved around trees and then angled perfectly into a weirdly shaped space.  It completely opened my mind to entirely different possibilities for this project on which I was paralyzed.  The photo linked back to Superior Awning, so I called them and they sent out a man right away who knew everything about the exact project in the photo.  He offered a few different ideas for our difficult space, all of which were revelations!  My partner and I worked with his drawings, chose one and kick-started the project back into gear.  It's nearly finished now and shaded with our own perfectly made-to-order canvas patio cover in an exquisitely textured fabric that glows like candlelight underneath.  Superior Awning did a beautiful job with the installation and we're incredibly grateful for the design ideas.  Highly recommended.

"I hired Sun Boss to design and build a custom sunroom for my family. "Our project was one step and a landing on our porch. Approx. 30 sq feet. We had the top layer of tile removed and concrete around the door area chiseled and jack hammered away. They then cut fossil stone for risers and step/landing in large squares as requested. They did put up a moisture barrier at the entrance and calked after grouting the stone. This was done upon the City of Downeys expectations. I believe that wouldn't have been done had I not called the city to come by to clarify the code for this job. So my only complaint is that some workers, actually most don't keep up or research the code. Then when the city does visit you may have to tear down a project and re do it. That can be costly and frustrating. Our porch and step look great. Not sure if the cost to us was cheap, but it is done and looks great."
