"The installation crew was on time and professional. Prior to installation they walked the premises with me and pointed out the most logical places for camera placement. The staff was respectful of my workspace and quietly/independently worked. The wires were placed discretely. Once finished, they helped me to get the app up and running on my cell phone and answered any questions I had. The cameras are very high quality. I recommend this company!"

"I live in the valley six months and East Coast 6 months. I have used Hegge three times. In 2005, Jose Santos replace 2 kitchen fluorescents with 6 recessed cans and then put in 4 additional recessed cans with its own dimmer in eating area where there had been only a fan with a bad light. In 2011, Francisco Montano put in an additional recessed can in a dimly lit closet. On 1/18/18, Francisco repaired loose wiring leading to a frequently tripping GFCI and corrected a blown circuit with a GFCI. These guys are expert, quick, neat, friendly, and prices are so reasonable for what they do. They are so neat that when they are done, you can't tell that what was new was not there before. Hegge goes out of its way to accommodate your schedule. I wish I had a Hegge for everything, not just electrical. The price quoted was just for the last service"

"I gave power systems electric a call and was greeted by a very polite woman. I explained the work I wanted to have done. 14 can lights and 5 ceiling fans in my brand new home. My house is brand new built this year (2014) single story with direct attic access. Every room has a pre-installed J-box in the center of the room with wiring to the wall switch. It's a very easy job with no old ceiling fan to remove or wires to run/fish. She gave me a retail cost of $89 per can light and $75 per ceiling fan. There is a small discount for Angie's list customers of 10% which is nice but not big enough to see a big price differential. I explained a large job of this sort should require bulk deal pricing and she disagreed although to be fair she attempted to "talk to her husband" to get a better price. After a reasonable amount of time she called back bu the answer was no. The company is reputable and pleasant to talk to but don't expect reasonable pricing regardless of the amount of work you have."

"By far one of the best companies to work with. They installed my solar in 30 days and it came out very clean. They made the whole process a snap from start to finish. Highly recommend"

"

We contacted several solar installers and decided to go with Harrison Electric and Solar as they had very competitive prices and we thought we would get more personalized service than you might get and the bigger solar installation companies. Once the system was installed we knew we absolutely made the right decision! Harrison Electric and Solar spent a lot of time with us telling us about the system, what we could expect and answered the many questions we had (and we had a lot!). Installation went incredibly smoothly and we would not even know that they were at the house installing the system except for the solar panels that were neatly stacked in our yard the day before the actual installation! Once again they left our house and backyard pristine and you would never have guessed that a large solar panel system had recently been installed.

One other thing to mention is that a neighbor of ours had recently had a solar panel system installed at her house (by a large solar company) and she was very unhappy with the energy production of her system which was nowhere near what she was told it would be. After telling them about it, Harrison Electric and Solar volunteered to talk to her and give her advice about the system and what mistakes were made with the installation (this despite the fact they were unlikely to get business from her as her system was leased and she would not likely be able to break the lease). Our neighbor was so impressed with the information she received from them and with their professionalism.  These guys are first class all the way and I cannot recommend them more highly!

Ev Charger Installer questions, answered by experts

Yes, you should get a quote or an estimate from an electrician. Most electricians offer free estimates or quotes. When getting quotes, do your research and verify each electrician’s license. Get quotes from three different electricians to compare. If the prices or items listed appear different on the quotes, ask the electrician to clarify. Learning as much as you can about the electrical work you want done will help you get the most accurate estimate.

Yes, electricians must be licensed, certified, and in most cases, insured. Licensing requirements vary by state and local municipality, but most U.S. municipalities require electricians to hold an electrical contractor’s license. It's always a good practice to confirm requirements with your local municipality. Even if licensing is not required in your area, hiring a licensed and experienced electrician often leads to a better end result.

A license is a legal requirement to operate a business and is necessary for pulling project permits. Certifications, on the other hand, are typically voluntary and demonstrate a certain level of expertise. In some cases, a certified electrician may send an apprentice or journeyman to perform the work, but they must operate under a primary electrician who holds the proper license.

Before hiring, you should verify the electrician's license, insurance coverage, and any third-party certifications. You can use Angi’s contractor licensing search to confirm a pro's license status. Additionally, businesses with the “Angi Approved” badge on our platform meet strict criteria, including having the required state and local licenses, passing a background check, and maintaining a high average rating.

The cost of installing a 240-volt outlet for an electric car averages between $175 and $300. Depending on the type of outlet as well as labor costs, you might pay as little as $130 or upwards of $400. Hiring a professional electrician makes up the bulk of the expense but ensures a safe and code-compliant installation.

You can plug your electric car into a regular 120-volt household outlet only if you’re using a Level 1 charger. This method is slower and may take several days to fully charge your EV. For faster charging, you’ll need a Level 2 charger, which requires a 220- or 240-volt outlet.

Local electricians with experience in your area understand the local building codes, which is very important when doing new electrical work. They also have experience with the kind of electrical problems homes in your location may have, and even the components that were used in the original construction, which leads them to make faster and better decisions.
