"Bee N' Wasp removal came out the very same day that we called to remove some active wasp nests from our home and check for other activity. They answered our questions about bees and wasps and even told us what product to use if we see wasp activity in the future. We're very pleased with them.

"He was very thorough but said he found termite evidence in the attic that could be treated at a hefty price. I'm getting a second opinion on this. After the second opinion from my regular exterminator I found they were a lot higher price."

"After extremely poor customer service from our former pest control service, we switched to Hydrex. We were offered a discount for paying a full year of service and the customer service has been excellent thus far. We have only had one service performed since we signed up but we are very hopeful this will be a very good pest control service provider. We also asked for early notification prior to service dates as we have a pet that must be kept inside on service days. Office staff has been friendly and pest control summaries (showing chemicals used) provided on service dates."

His son, Robert B. Loibl, Jr., began working and learning from his father after school and on Saturdays. He later started the Lloyd Pest Control Company in San Diego, and was a partner with his father in L & N Pest Control. He also started the Ant-B-Gone Products Company in Los Angeles, California, and then the Pest Control Service Company and Hydrex Pest Control Co., Inc. in Los Angeles, California in 1946. Robert Jr. spent his life paving the way to say good riddance to pests.
As well as developing a very successful state wide franchise with Hydrex Pest Control, he also held a number of patents. He invented the B-Gone series of pest poisons that many remember, a vermin exterminator, and the Pestron machine for producing insecticidal vapor. He developed many of the methodologies used today. "We called Center to come and inspect, and possibly treat, an overhead supporting beam for termites. We had termite droppings directly underneath the beam for two days and were concerned there might be termites. Andres arrived, right on time, after a call from the office letting us know the inspector would be arriving in a few minutes. He was very nice, personable, very knowledgeable, and got straight to work with his examination of the beam. He brought his tall ladder in, and was very diligent about not getting anything dirty. He inspected the entire beam (which was more than the droppings area) and determined that most likely we did NOT have live termites. The inspection was free. He explained in great detail about the termite life cycle (at my behest). We asked about some spots on the beam and he offered to clean them off, since he had his ladder out! How nice was that???? We were very impressed by this man's manner and professionality. If we ever need termite control in the future, we will most certainly be calling Center."

Pest Control questions, answered by experts

Yes, it’s safe to sleep in a house with termites. They don’t bite or spread disease and they aren’t likely to crawl on you or invade your personal space. However, termites can cause serious structural damage over time, which may compromise your home’s safety if left untreated. If you suspect an infestation, it’s best to schedule a professional inspection and treatment to prevent long-term risks to your property (not to mention your peace of mind).

Yes, many services include cleanup and sanitization to remove droppings and odors. Confirm with your provider.

Consumer-brand foggers or bug bombs are considered safe overall. Still, it's essential to read the instructions carefully as the vacating time varies depending on the type of bug bomb you use. Most of the time, it's advised that all humans and pets are out of the area for at least two to four hours after initiating the fogger process. It's also a good idea to vent the space by cracking open some windows for several hours after you're back inside.

Skunks like to forage for grubs in the soil, like worms and insects, but they are also tempted by trash and pet food bowls, so keeping these items out of sight may help keep skunks away. Skunks also like to set up a den in dark places, such as a crawl space or outbuilding.

Typically, fleas won’t take up residence in human hair. Their natural preference is to live on the fur of animals, but they can bite and infest humans on a temporary basis. If there is a significant flea infestation in the surrounding environment, humans may inadvertently become a host. Again, though, this is a rare occurrence.
