"Shamrock is great. We were moving from two smaller homes in order to sell them and then buy a home together. So, we needed to store everything for an unknown period of time before moving it all into our new home. Shamrock came and gave excellent estimates for each home to move everything into storage and how much storage rates would be per month. The estimator was very experienced and was able to give an accurate estimate for the volume, number of movers, and overall cost based on all the factors of the homes (stairs, etc.). The movers came and attached scannable codes to every item and box and moved everything with care and precision. We found the whole company to be very professional, helpful, and nice. Our belongings arrived in the new home safe and in the same condition as when we had packed it. I would definitely hire Shamrock again."

"I found Fast Masters Movers through an Angi referral and I'm so glad I did. The crew of four meant they worked efficiently. I was really impressed with how each member of the team worked to support the crew as a whole and cooperated. They kept track of all the parts and tools and remembered my concerns about the player piano, making sure to protect that area throughout the move. Seeing as my baby grand had to make it down a long set of stairs, I'm glad I had this team on the job! They attended to details like ensuring my daughter's electric bike was brought back upstairs, since it'd been moved out of the way and putting the screen door back on its hinges. Nothing was damaged and they kept me informed when they made a stop in transit."

"We couldn't be happier with our move! Everything went as planned from start to finish. Luis and crew were pleasant to work with us and made our move stress free. We were happy with the cost and the process from the initial phone call to the move day. Would definitely recommend to anyone needing moving services."

"This was my first time going through a moving company and it was pleasantly easy. Jerome contacted me very quickly after my inquiry and provided me with a quote and from there everything went smoothly. Him and his team showed up and quickly moved my things"

"Initially there was a misunderstanding regarding pricing, because of unclear wording in the Angie's List Deal I used for Blaylock Transport. The deal I purchased was for labor only; from the wording I thought it was a full service offer.
In spite of this, Tim was able to work with me to modify the deal in a way that worked out for both of us. He and his helper were friendly, punctual, and hustled their butts off to get the job done. They handled the delicate items with care, but still managed to move quickly.
If you hire Blaylock, it's best to communicate by phone. I sent a few emails via Angie's List that Tim says he never got; Tim says he sent me a few messages that I never received.

Piano Moving questions, answered by experts

Deciding whether it's worth it to hire movers depends on your budget, patience, and physical capabilities. It's difficult to gauge the amount of work that moving calls for, and it's easy to be off by about tenfold.

If you're able to call in some favors and round up friends to help, you might get through it just fine, but if you only have a few hands helping, things can quickly get overwhelming. Either way, bringing in the pros will save considerable time and stress, so if it's within your budget, it's a great investment.

The best ways to prepare for movers include decluttering and properly labeling boxes. Decluttering lessens the workload and ensures you are not bringing unwanted items into your new home. Labeling boxes lets movers know which rooms they belong in, reducing confusion when it's time to unpack.

Typically, local moves involve either renting a moving truck and moving yourself or hiring local movers to do the job. For long-distance moves, options include hiring a full-service moving company that handles packing, loading, transportation, and unloading, or using a self-moving service where you load your belongings into a container or trailer and have it transported. Another option is hiring professional movers for labor-only services, where they assist with loading and unloading your rented truck. You can also opt for moving pods or moving containers that can be transported to the destination.

Most moving companies don’t charge by weight or volume unless you’re freight shipping items. The cost of hiring movers typically depends on the number of movers and time spent on the task.

A DIY move is cheaper than paying movers. However, hiring professional movers can save you time and stress.
