"Jamie and his crew installed large scale (24"x48") porcelain tile in two bathrooms (walls and floors) and on a large dining / kitchen / hall floor. The results are absolutely perfect. Our floors were far from level, so the install was not easy and required a large amount of leveling cement. Everyone showed up every day at 7 AM, at times we had two crews working to get our project finished on time. You can see that they did not cut any corners and did whatever it took to do things right. "

"In my opinion he could have done a better neater job. He didn't advise me in the contract that he was going to take the newly replaced and painted baseboards or door. He told me after I signed the contract the day he started to work. He took the door off and leaned it up against a newly painted wall. He damaged the baseboards, damaged the wall while removing baseboards, damaged door, frame and jam when he tried to rehang the door. The leftover mix was dumped down my sink drain and ran down cabinet and dish washer. I expected a Professional to be upfront and respectful of my property. The possible damage to my drain pipe, clogging and environment from the chemicals. When I was able to walk on the floor and saw the damage I was shocked. I almost collapsed. I was sick for two days. I spoke to Alex with Angi and he laughed and said you'll have to fix it. Apparently you idea of a Professional andine are not the same. The damage he did shouldn't have happened."

You can let the tile sit without grout. Don’t panic if there’s a delay between installing the tiles and grouting. It takes about one to three days for a two-person crew to lay 800 to 1,000 square feet of flooring daily. Remember that removal of existing flooring and additional prep work is considered during this time, and it’s likely that you won’t be able to pass through the room easily. In addition, you can expect lots of hammering and other noise from power tools during installation, so it’s best to plan accordingly.

The best trowel for penny tile is a 3/16-inch-by-5/32-inch V-notch trowel. Because of the small size of the penny tile, you want a trowel with small notches that can lay a thin layer of mortar on the surface you’re tiling. If the notches are too wide, you risk applying too thick of a layer of mortar, and it can squeeze out between the penny tiles.
