"Western Rooter to the rescue again! I had a small underground leak which appeared to be due to a bad sprinkler valve. A sprinkler repair company determined that it was not a bad sprinkler valve and thought it was due to a leak in the main water line. Daniel and Alex dug down to find that the leak was coming from a very old (at least 36 years) broken pvc line. After much testing and head scratching to try to figure out where the water was coming from, they decided to "chase the pipe." After much digging, they found that the very old broken pvc pipe was hooked up to a sprinkler valve that was buried 18 inches underground that had not been capped--only turned off. Roots from a nearby tree had opened the valve which caused the leak--crazy! The current sprinkler system has been the same one since we moved into the house in 1988. It took 36 years for the underground leak to occur!"

He gave me the full range of possible remedies, from installing a eaves gutter on the roofline outside the bedroom to a full (very expensive) sealing of the entire exterior foundation. And actually recommended that we start with the gutter (which I can do myself) and then monitor the area next rainy season and see if that fixes the problem. No pressure to hire them or spend big $$, just good advice. Couldn't have asked for more. Highly recommended- this is real service!"

"Carl arrived on time. He was told I had a clogged drain and was surprised it was just a leaky faucet. Problem was that he did not have the parts to fix it so he had to leave to get the parts. That took about 45 minutes. He made the repairs. He didn't know anything about the Angie's List promotion I had signed up for and was going to charge me $155. I balked at that and said I would pay $75 since plumbers I used in the past usually cost that much. The next day I noticed the handle on the faucet was wobbly like it was going to fall off. I called and it took over a week before Carl was able to make it back. Apparently it was just a loose screw, which he tightened. Everything works fine now. I was pretty miffed about the whole thing considering it ended up costing me more than if I had called a local plumber. I not only paid the $75 to these guys but I was also charged $29, which according to the promotion was supposedly for the service call with an additional $30 to be deducted from the repairs. So total it was $104-not much of a deal really."

They did an amazing job at the patching inside and out, and made it so it was almost impossible to tell where the holes were. The whole process took 3 days of work which was amazing if you ask me.
