"This provider is unusual in that he really knows what he is doing with drywall. He is amazingly competent; really set a new standard in my mind for drywall work.
I'll try to be more specific?  He is very knowledgeable and quick to evaluate what is required. Then, he is fast and effective at completing the work.
What more can I say?

"Excellent service from AGD Drywall. Very professional, reliable and knowledgeable about dry wall repair. We had a roof leak that caused drywall damage in the home. Tony came and was very thorough and repaired the drywall; you would never know there was ever any water damage. He was very precise and made sure to put plastic up so it didn’t make a mess on the furniture and carpet. We will 100% use AGD Drywall in future! Thank you again AGD Drywall for the fast, responsive, reliable and top quality work!"

"Dave Hathcock of D H Drywall Pros is a consummate professional. We had Dave remove the popcorn from our hallway ceiling. He arrived on time, covered the area so there would be no dust from the popcorn in the rest of the house, did a beautiful job, cleaned up the area better than before he started work, and was very reasonably priced. Very impressed with his courtesy and work ethic. Can't say enough about this guy. If you need drywall repair and/or texturing Dave's the guy. His phone number is 916 470-4502"

Small jobs welcome

"They called me immediately to set up a time to provide me a free estimate. They came that afternoon and I was pleased with the estimate amounts. They fit me in the next day I have been waiting for 4 months because of COVID. They came on time, completed the job in less than 4 hours and cleaned up after themselves. My wall and ceiling look great"

Drywall questions, answered by experts

It’s less costly to drywall a fireplace than shiplapping it since material costs are higher for shiplap. However, if you’re DIYing the project, shiplap is less expensive since you won’t have to pay for labor. With drywall, getting a smooth finish is difficult unless you’re a pro. Shiplap is ideal for an accent wall or unique space, such as around a fireplace, since it adds texture and gives off a cozy vibe.

You can put drywall mud over paint to even out the surface or entirely resurface it. Sand the surface with 280-grit sandpaper, vacuum the debris and dust with a shop vac, and clean it with a slightly damp cloth. Allow the surface to dry. Apply drywall primer, especially if you’re skim-coating an entire wall. Apply the right type of drywall mud over the surface and smooth it with a trowel. Allow the layer to cure fully, then sand it before applying another layer or painting it.

With its breathability and flexibility, lime plaster is among the most durable of all plaster types. It's also fire-resistant and has a proven track record, as people have been using it for thousands of years.

However, all plaster types will last for many years with the right care and treatment. Proper preparation and installation will also help ensure your plaster walls look great for as long as possible.

While textured walls can elevate a space in many ways, there are a couple of downsides to consider. Namely, they’re hard to clean, and some textures fall out of fashion quickly. Make sure to consider all your options to find one you truly love before diving in.

You can usually tell if you have plaster or drywall by touch (plaster is harder, colder, and smoother than drywall) or by tapping on it (drywall sounds hollow, plaster does not). If you still cannot tell, peek under an outlet cover and check the cut edges. The rough edges show the composition of the wall. You will see either drywall (two paper sheets sandwiching gypsum material) or only plaster material (no paper sheets).
