"I had the Fence Doctor out to fix a section of my fence that had fallen down. They were able to get out to my house quickly and did the work just as fast. The work was very good quality and I have had no problems with the fence since then. I highly recommend them for your fencing needs."

"Finally an honest Solar company!! I went through several companies trying to get quotes for one of my properties, either they were ridiculously expensive or they didn't return my calls. A friend of mine referred me to Mega Sun and I have to say I am very pleased. Within a couple days from the initial phone call I already had an estimate and once i decided to go with them the installation was completed in one week. Its been a little over a month since they completed the install and everything is working smoothly.

I was amazed at just how great the customer service was. I just want to say thank you to the whole team who helped out, I really appreciate all your hard work. Now I know you guys are the ones to call for all future jobs."

"I am re-landscaping my yard and had used Nato before for a small project and he did a good job for me so I asked him to bid this project. His price was competitive. He and his crew arrived promptly, completed the job on time and did quality work. I installed some irrigation lines and landscape lighting conduit during their job and I was pretty slow and it delayed them from filling in their trenches. Nato and his crew were very patient and Nato actually helped me at one point since I was such rookie. My landscape architect wanted the drains to be done a certain way and while it was not the usual way Nato did drains he was fine doing it the way that was requested. I would definitely use him again and told him to use me as a reference."

"Since redoing my backyard was a fairly large project I had many contractors come out and offer ideas and estimates for the patio and deck. I decided on Highland Landscape because the owner, Lee Tavare, listened to the general ideas of what I was looking for and worked with me to come up with a design that was attractive and within my budget. Lee was here every day working and overseeing the job. Manual, his assistant was also knowledgeable, hardworking and a nice friendly guy. I was so pleased with the deck and patio I had them put in a paver deck around the pool and add a sprinkler system. Lee was patient and helpful- listening to various concerns and providing solutions and practical advice. The price seemed very reasonable for all that was done, there were no surprises and all the final bills came in a few dollars lower than his estimates. Lee is very knowledgeable in all types of construction which was nice for getting advice on various options and coming up with a workable plan for a beautiful backyard."

Fencing questions, answered by experts

For the most part, goats are friendly and won’t charge at you, but there are exceptions to this rule, as there are with any animal handling practices. Typically, goats don’t attack unless they feel threatened. Avoid cornering or rough handling goats to avoid getting head-butted, bitten, or kicked, and always supervise goats when they’re near children or pets.

A well-maintained pipe fence can last anywhere from 20 to 50 years, depending on factors like material, climate, and maintenance. Galvanized or coated pipes resist rust and corrosion better than other alternatives, so they tend to last longer, especially in humid or wet environments. Routine maintenance, such as inspecting for damage, removing rust, and applying protective coatings, helps extend the fence’s lifespan significantly.

If you’re part of a homeowners association (HOA), you’ll need to speak with them regarding your fence repairs prior to starting work. Sometimes, you’ll need HOA approval to start repairs and ensure that the completed project meets their standards. In other cases, direct approval might not be required to start the project. Speaking with your HOA first will help avoid any unnecessary fines and headaches.

Yes, fence posts need to be installed below the frost line to ensure stability and prevent heaving caused by freezing and thawing cycles. The frost line is the depth at which soil freezes during winter. By placing posts below this line, often around 3 to 4 feet deep or as recommended for your specific region, you reduce the risk of the ground shifting, which can lead to leaning or unstable fences. Adequate depth provides better anchoring and helps maintain the fence's integrity, ensuring it remains secure and upright throughout changing seasons.

Painting or staining protects fences from environmental damage, enhances durability, and improves curb appeal with a fresh, customized look.
