I had know idea how to repair something like that. Found JD s SG online. Sent him a message. He messaged back within hours. He gave me his phone number and I texted him pictures of the broken window. He texted me back a quote and his price was very reasonable. He came to my house, removed the window from the door, took it back to his shop and carefully matched the color of every broken piece. "The job was during the first half of March 2019 for a 35 year old, 28 two- and three-story townhouse unit complex in Pasadena, California/trendy Playhouse District. As the current and prior/numerous years condo association president, I have had many experiences with contractors, including roofing, painting, plumbing, landscaping, and Chris Coyle is by far the most competent, reasonable, reliable, cooperative, fair and most professional of all the contractors. I would most highly recommend his services. During the plus two-week installation, Chris as company boss was "on top of job" because actually he himself and his assistant were installing/"doing the heavy lifting" for all of the new windows. This clearly illustrates his commitment/pride in his craftsmanship. Also, he is very knowledgeable about the window product/Milgard because he thought it best for this job to actually remove most of the old window frames, not customary for a/this "retrofit" versus "replacement" window installation. He was willing to do the extra work at no additional cost in order that the new window frames were not wide/distracting but thinner/minimal/open/clean/more open/glass configuration to enhance the overall modernization of the complex. I "gambled" with this new look for improving the complex, and Chris made not only the complex look good but me as president as well. Every- one is thrilled by the windows results, even asking "why didn't 'we' do this earlier?' I and the other homeowners do not hesitate at all in recommending Christopher Coyle and his Alta Sierra Windows company to any other homeowner. "Mark was really wonderful. My husband had demoed the faux river rock facade off our fireplace surround because it was tacky, but we didn't have much of a plan for what to replace it with. I knew that I liked tile surrounds with wooden mantels, but in the demo some of the bricks of the original surround were damaged and the surface was pretty uneven. I contacted Mark at LA Custom Tile because he's in the neighborhood and asked him how the whole fireplace-tile process worked, and he suggested that I buy the tile I liked and contact him when I had it. So I found a beautiful marble mosaic that was sold by the box. One box was just enough for my surround, but the lady at the store suggested I buy two boxes because most tile setters won't work with fragments of mesh sheets and will just want to use complete mesh sheets of mosaic (creating a lot of wasted tile) rather than piecing sheets together to make the material stretch. Well, since the lead time on the tile was only a few days, I bought just one $300 box and thought I'd see whether Mark was able to make it work. If he couldn't, I could just buy another box later. After the tile arrived, I called Mark and, because of a delay on the big project he was working on, he was able to come do the job the next day at a really great price. He made the single box of tile work, saving me $300 in materials, and he fixed the edge of the firebox, where bricks had been damaged by the demo, with cement. His execution of the tile setting was careful and precise, and I could tell that he took real pride in his work. When a carpenter came to take measurements for the mantel we're having built, he remarked upon what a great job our tile guy had done. Thanks, Mark!"
