"Aces was precisely on time, well prepared for the job, obviously experienced, completely equipped, mindful of noise and dust, cut the concrete as planned and as needed, removed the unwanted pieces of concrete, cleaned-up the work area, and charged a reasonable price. Rich provides exceptional value in the service he provides."

"We recently had Mega Power Electric Inc install a solar system and panels. The President and provided excellent communication all the way through the process. He even met with us after installation to explain the almost incomprehensible PG&E bill. Although not the least expensive bid, his was competitive and I felt he was as interested in educating me about solar and the various types of panels and inverter systems as he was in selling a system. He demonstrated how the array of panels would meet our energy needs and as opposed to some of the other companies, wasn't selling us more than we needed. We are very satisfied with our solar system and I highly recommended Mega Power Electric Inc."

"DeSchryver Concrete Construction just completed a beautiful Artisan Series Block retaining wall in our backyard. The retaining wall is 60 feet long and three feet high. Tom DeSchryver and his crew were excellent in completing the project. The contractor was very organized and exact in his work--using a transit, levels and good equipment for installation of a good base for the blocks, drain pipe and drain rock as recommended by the Artisan Series Block manufacturer. The contractor's excellent experience was obvious every step of the way. The contractor did a cleanup of the street and the surrounding area each day. The contractor removed the old rotten wooden plank retaining wall. And disposed of the old planks and posts to the local Western Placer Waste Management Authority in nearby Lincoln. We would definitely recommend using the DeSchryver Concrete Construction."

"Joshua is really thorough and professional.  He stuck to his start time and gave approximate end times that he delivered.  His quote was accurate.   He sent pictures, kept receipts and delivered what he said he would do.
We had two changes that needed to happen that required some added labor and materials, but Joshua was cool about it.  He even came on a saturday to do a final walk through.  Which I thought was very cool.
The pergola went up quickly and was what I drew.
The changes inside the house he did very clean and neat.  He had to cut back an archway and then replace some tile.
I have no hesitation recommending him or using him in the future.

"I had a lot of cracks that needed filling before the seal coat was applied. They did a nice clean edge job. The price was good and I will definitely use them again before it gets so bad next time."

"Great quality work by the guys! My home owners insurance wanted three really large trees removed that were almost touching my home, they were very quick and safe. Nothing was damaged, the jobsite was left clean. They even stacked all the rounds nicely so we could dry them for firewood. Would recommend to anyone, loved the involvement with the boss. She specifically walked the job before and after to ensure everything was to her standard of excellence. I haven't seen this degree of quality before in tree services, very refreshing!"

Concrete Cutting questions, answered by experts

The average cost for a welding project is about $300, with typical costs ranging from $125 to $490. However, prices can be as low as $125 for very small jobs or exceed $1,200 for large or complex projects. Welders typically charge an hourly rate between $65 and $150, depending on their experience, and many charge a minimum fee to cover overhead and travel expenses. The total cost is influenced by several factors, including labor, the cost of materials like metal rods and shielding gas, the type of metal being welded, the project's size and complexity, and your geographic location. For a precise quote, it's best to ask a local welder for an estimate based on your specific project.

Yes, you can cut plexiglass by hand using a sharp knife or blade (utility knife, box cutter, glass cutter, etc.).

It will likely take an experienced pro less than an hour to install a ground rod, which is another reason why letting them handle the job is such a good idea. Safety concerns aside, it would likely take you much longer to install a ground rod if you decided to take this one as a DIY job.

Yes, you can use a saw to cut metal pipes. The best saw to use is a reciprocating saw, but even a fine-tooth hacksaw can get the job done. No matter which saw you use to cut metal pipes, wear protective gear, like work gloves, safety goggles, and ear plugs. Apply a firm, steady pressure to the tool, and always ensure the pipes are secured so they don't move while you make the cuts.

Professional metal fabricators typically charge around $70 per hour, but the total cost of your project will depend on several factors. The largest cost drivers are the size, complexity, and design of the project, as well as the price and type of metal used. A good way to estimate the total cost is to multiply the cost of raw materials by four; typically, one-quarter of the total goes toward materials and three-quarters toward labor. Your geographic location can also influence costs, as labor and material prices vary by region.
