"ADS Flooring removed the ugly pink carpet that had been in my RV. Since 1996. They fixed my damaged floor and then installed Luxury Vinyl Planks a wood look that made my R.V. look brand new. They also installed quarter rounds throughout and stair nose at the steps. I love the work they did and get so many compliments."

Customers say: Super punctual

"When I was first looking to do new countertops several years ago, I made a few calls and spoke with Dean. Even after telling him that it would be a while before I did this he was very helpful and I kept is number. I donâ t like did she do the countertop but out of the same slab of marble, he did that fireplace hearth and another couple of projects. He works with his family, and they are lovely also."

Small jobs welcome

"John installed patio tiles in the front and back of our house. His bid was very competitive and he did a great installation job, I couldn't be happier with the result. Highly recommended!"

Marble and Granite questions, answered by experts

It all comes down to rarity and demand. Granite rocks with unique patterns or rare colorways like red, purple, and blue are more expensive than traditional designs. Some types of blue granite are extremely rare, like Azul Aran and Blue Bahia, driving the price up even further. The most expensive type of all is a unique design called Van Gogh granite. As the name suggests, it sort of looks like a painting.

Unsealed granite is more susceptible to staining and other damage. Regularly sealing your granite countertops decreases the chances you’ll need to repair damaged countertops in the future. It also keeps it looking shiny rather than becoming dull over time. You can check whether your granite needs resealing by putting a few drops of water on the counter and waiting 15 minutes to see whether the water permeates the surface.

Onyx countertops have pros and cons. If you seal it properly and take care not to damage it, it can make a good countertop surface. However, it's more often used in bathrooms, where it’s less likely to sustain damage. Having an onyx kitchen countertop is possible, but you’ll need to take extra care not to burn, stain, or otherwise damage the material.

Granite is heavier than quartz, since it has a higher density. Quartz is made up of engineered stone, which is why it tends to weigh less than granite. Most granite countertops are ¾-inch thick and weigh about 13 pounds per square foot.

Sintered stone and quartz are both low-maintenance materials resistant to water damage and scratching. However, quartz can be damaged by temperatures over 150°F, while sintered stone is heat-resistant up to 300°F. Both materials are comparable in cost, so ultimately, the decision will hinge on your preferences.
