"A GREAT CARPET REPAIR COMPANY We purchased a new carpet 2 ½ years ago and there were problems right from the start. The carpet kept developing large wrinkles that were an inch or more high. There were probably over 100 of these wrinkles everywhere throughout the house. We are elderly people and we each tripped over these carpet wrinkles and fell several times. After trying unsuccessfully to get the carpet store, whose name starts with the letter ”A” and which is located on Miramar Road just off the I-15, to fix the problem, we decided to hire a carpet repair company. We have a large house with a lot of angular rooms and hallways. All of the San Diego carpet repair companies refused to do the repair, because they considered the job too difficult, because of the size and complexity of the repair. Then we found Jeff at S. D. Carpet Repair. Jeff came out and looked the job over and said he could fix it. A few days later Jeff arrived with his crew and in about 4 hours he had the 3,000+ square feet of carpet repaired and properly re-stretched. The large wrinkles are gone and we no longer have to fear tripping and falling as we walk in our home. In repairing the carpet, it was discovered the original installation by the carpet company did not use the existing carpet anchor strips around the edge of each room, which is how carpet is supposed to be installed. Instead, the carpet company just laid the carpet on the floor and attached the carpet to the carpet pad with staples. The carpet had never been properly stretched and anchored to the floor. Jeff was able to remove the carpet staples, stretch and anchor the carpet. Those dangerous eyesore wrinkles in every room and hallway are gone. We now have a beautiful properly installed carpet thanks to S. D. Carpet Repair. If you have a carpet problem, hire S. D. Carpet Repair, they have the equipment and know how to do a proper repair. "Carpet not tucked where it meets wood floor.  
Had Pacific Wholesale Carpet come out and fix it when they installed carpet in my mom's house.

Base boards were suppose to be painted with semi-gloss paint that could be wiped down....Not sure what is on base boards but they are very difficult to clean....not semi gloss paint....have to scrub them with brush just to get dust off!

Grout used on Porcelain Tile is not White as ordered.....Wont clean!  Also, no grout or caulking where tile and base boards meet!

Every thing looked so nice when it was done.  But, after about 6 months I started carpet unraveling where it meets wood and from day one have had extremely difficult time with base boards."

"To start, Steve Letwinch showed up on-time and has a very professional demeanor.  He has an extensive and impressive building background. 
One thing I really liked about Steve was his willingness to work with me before we ever even entered into contract.  I continued to refine precisely what we wanted in the back yard, to discuss numerous options with him, and in the process had a lot of questions--each time Steve willingly and very patiently priced the cost differences and answered my questions in-detail.   And his responses were extremely timely; I didn't have to wait days for him to get back to me.  This was how it went through the entire construction process--any question that I had throughout construction was usually answered within a couple of hours, and on very rare occasions within no more than twenty-four hours.  Steve has excellent and very timely follow-up skills.

If you, the reader, are new to construction or remodeling, it's good to know that there are always bumps in the road along the way.  The question is how does a contractor respond--does he repair it or does he let it go and expect you to accept it?  I noted a couple of things, Steve himself noted a couple of things, and he fixed everything to our satisfaction.  The end result?  Beautiful!
For the pricing quoted above, please keep in mind that our patio cover is 14 x 33, has 8 x 8 posts, 4 x 8 rafters, 2 x 4's on the top, and knee braces.  And the rebuilt deck now matches.  So these are very "beefy" and rich looking--not your typical patio cover by any stretch.  The two retaining walls are also each 35 feet long, so roughly 70 lineal feet of retaining walls.  And the fireplace is a full masonry, wood-burning fireplace with a damper--nine feet wide by seven feet tall, so these were all extensive to build.
We're very, very happy with the final result in the back yard.  Steve brought in good subs--the concrete turned out beautifully, the fireplacewas built by a mason who has built masonry fireplaces for many years (why get a pre-fab fireplace when, with Steve's very competitive pricing, you can spend just a few dollars more and get a gorgeous masonry fireplace!), the stucco work is perfect, and the patio cover has made our back yard an oasis.  We've had several friends comment on how lovely everything turned out, and we absolutely agree.
