"I obtained several quotes for replacing or repairing an old furnace and a/c condenser unit.  Each provider had a slightly different opinion on how much of the system should be replaced and what capacity unit should be used. Carini's prices were in line with other providers, but Kurt, who gave the estimate, seems the most knowledgable.  He did appropriate follow up after the install.  Would use them again. "
Using the sewer camera to inspect the inside of a customer's drains

Hydro jet uses water at 4,000psi to clean the inside of the mainline drain which connects all the home's drains to the city's sewer system.
Using a snake we can go through the cleanouts on the side of the house.
With the cleanouts snaked, and the blockage located, we can send the hydro jet through the sewer vent and flush out the blocked drain.

"Noticed one of my bedrooms wasn’t getting the same air pressure as the others. I called the guys at sky clean air and was scheduled for the following day for a free quote. Nadav and Erick were on time and quickly got to work, because the age of the house the duct connected to the spare room had become brittle and damaged. I was given a quote for the single duct and replacing the attic I was never pushed into making a decision. Ended up going with the single duct and work was done same day with before and after pictures. My experience with Sky Clean Air is the type of business you want to deal with never felt like I was being played. Definitely recommend"

Boiler Repair questions, answered by experts

Regular inspections, filter replacements, and professional tune-ups keep the system running efficiently.

Yes, it is generally safe and effective to turn off radiators in unused rooms to save money on heating costs. This practice is especially beneficial with older heating systems. However, you should avoid cranking up the thermostats on the remaining radiators to compensate, as this can lead to higher heating bills and increased wear and tear on your system. While some HVAC specialists argue that modern, efficient boilers are designed to heat the entire home and work best when all radiators are on, turning off radiators in unused spaces still reduces the total amount of hot water your system needs to produce.

It can be difficult to determine the cause of a coolant leak unless you have the unit inspected by a certified professional. Most coolant leaks are caused by wear and tear on seals and joints. This typically happens five years after a unit is installed. Additionally, faulty or worn compressors, evaporator coils, and condenser coils can also cause leaks.

There are many signs and symptoms to look out for that can indicate that your HVAC system needs repair, including the following:

  • Your indoor air is uncomfortably hot or cold.

  • Your energy bills suddenly increase without explanation.

  • Your AC is blowing warm air or not blowing air at all.

  • You notice leaks around your HVAC equipment.

  • Your equipment makes unusual noises during operation.

  • You notice strange odors coming from your equipment.

  • You notice that the humidity in your home is higher than normal.

  • The thermostat no longer seems to match the actual temperature.

If you’re unsure who to call to fix your boiler, you have a few options. One is to call a dedicated boiler service. However, you can also call a plumber or HVAC technician for boiler repair services. These pros will have the tools, knowledge, and experience to fix common boiler problems.
