He had to remove the molding from one side of the door jam and insert shimmies to straighten out the door jam so the door would shut properly. He also tightened screws to give the door more lift so it wouldn't drag when opened and closed, and replaced the door knob, which I had purchased. I would definitely use him again."

This is often the safest option, especially for deck gates near steps, as you'll want the gate to swing away from the stairs. There are exceptions, however. The layout of your property may require a different approach. For example, if your property is on a slope, the gate may not be able to swing inward.
