"Technician showed up at the exact time - I have a fifteen year old roll-up residential garage door - replaced a remote and lubed the tracks - in and out 15 mins max and charged me $100 - he said it was for the remote control - I paid for convenience at this point - for most garage door companies, a service call fee alone is often $75–$125, and a universal remote typically costs $25–$50 retail - so $100 for the visit plus the remote is within normal range, especially for same-day or on-time service - mostly paid for the service call, not the part. "

"Called for an estimate for an older garage door. When he arrived, he would not approach the house I had to get his attention inside his truck. His visit took 20 minutes. He took a very brief look at the door, took a couple measurements, said door is non repairable and was quick to ask for the 70 dollar service fee, leaving me the only option to pay for a full door replacement for 8k with no other solution or even interest in fixing the door. The lady on the phone made it seem plausible you get service fee reduced if repairs could be made. He just did not have any interest or make any effort in repairing the door or reducing the service fee even though he only glanced at it. Quite a hefty fee for 350 dollars an hour for a door assessment. I do not recommend this business."
