"Tavo and Dany O did an excellent job clearing our clogged kitchen sink. . They were able to clear the drain what another plumbing service could not do 6 weeks ago. The camera head used to inspect the drain was flexible enough to get around tight corners. The other plumber was only able to get 15 ft. max. I witnessed the camera inspecting 67 ft of drain pipe that was clean of all the debris. In hindsight, we should have cleaned our drain every 2 yrs after our kitchen was remodeled 8 yrs ago. I would definitely recommend Power Pro Service. They were very thorough making 3 passes to clear the drain 100%. Power Pro also offers a 90 day guarantee on their hydro jet service. Great job guys!!"

Plumbing questions, answered by experts

Yes, there are ways to fix some pool pipe leaks without digging a trench. In some cases, pool professionals use a specific polymer-based solution to travel through a pipe and plug up a leak. In other cases, they can use specialized cameras to refit the damaged area with new piping. Not only are these approaches less intrusive to your home, but they also cut down on the cost of your pool repairs overall.

Yes, before you can connect to a public sewer, you must gain permission from the water company near you. You'll also need to ensure that you comply with local regulations prior to connecting to a public sewer line. Apply to your local water authority by looking at their website for an application or by giving them a call to have your home ready for a seamless sewer line connection.

Yes, you can turn your water back on after you hire an emergency plumber and this professional completes the repairs. Your plumber probably will turn on the water for you, just to test the repairs and look for any other problems. Otherwise, if the plumber doesn’t turn it back on, it’s safe to do it yourself. Open the valve or knob slowly to prevent an unwanted rush of air from getting into your pipes.

In most cases, a dripping faucet will not stop on its own. Dripping usually occurs because of a failed cartridge or broken washers. Normal wear and tear eventually runs these parts down and causes the faucet to drip when you've already shut off your sink. Replacing the cartridge or washer should fix the problem.

Yes, ammonia does damage pipes if used or disposed of improperly. Although ammonia-based cleaners are commonly used to unclog drain pipes, they either come already diluted or instruct the user to dilute them before use. Otherwise, undiluted ammonia is too caustic and could corrode certain plumbing types, such as PVC.
