"The technician emptied the freezer, which was in the basement, to work on the part that needed repair. Then he neglected to put anything back into the freezer, including a turkey I had bought for Christmas and a rack of ribs. Two days after he left, I went out of town for two weeks. The turkey actually exploded and spewed its liquid all over everything, which had to be discarded. I let AHS know and they couldn't even bother to call me or follow up on this. I'm considering not renewing my contract with them because of the quality (or lack thereof) of many of the providers they send."

"I recently hired VMG Plumbing to complete several repairs at my home, and I could not be more impressed with the experience. From the very beginning, Bineto demonstrated exceptional professionalism, knowledge, and attention to detail. He not only addressed the issues I was aware of, but also identified several defects left behind by the builder and took the time to explain practical solutions to improve the overall plumbing system in my home. I decided to move forward with all of his recommendations, and I am extremely glad I did. The quality of the workmanship was outstanding, and everything was completed with care, precision, and professionalism. It is clear that Bineto takes great pride in his work and genuinely cares about his customers. If you are looking for an honest, knowledgeable, and highly skilled plumber, I wholeheartedly recommend VMG Plumbing. I would not hesitate to use their services again and will gladly refer them to my friends, family, and anyone in need of top-qu"

Septic Tanks questions, answered by experts

There are a variety of different types of septic systems that can work in your home—such as conventional anaerobic systems, chamber systems, drip distribution systems and mound septic systems. All of them work using natural processes to break down solid waste and effectively treat wastewater without needing to be connected to a city sewer system. Which type of septic system you need will depend on characteristics of your property like how high the bedrock is or groundwater table is. Different types of systems come at different costs to install.

Drain fields often include three to five trenches that are 18 to 24 inches deep. The pipes connecting the drain field to the septic tank will be placed between 12 and 18 inches deep, and the field as a whole will be about 100 feet long.

Most homeowners know there’s a septic system problem when they can smell one. However, this isn’t exactly a scientific deduction method. Consider some of the other signs: standing water or constantly damp earth in the drainage area, toilets and sinks that won’t drain or frequently back up, and loud plumbing. You really need to be on top of routine maintenance with septic systems in order to avoid such unpleasant symptoms of a septic issue.

Yes. Amongst the four most common types of septic tanks—plastic, fiberglass, concrete, and steel—those made of concrete are the most expensive. This is the case for a few reasons, including the fact that they’re very heavy, so pros have to use specialized equipment to install them. However, they’re also incredibly durable, making the price worth it if it’s in your budget.

Septic tanks appear full after pumping because the liquid levels have returned to normal. If you can see the pipe, the tank is empty. However, heavy rain can cause septic tanks to fill faster than normal. You might also have leaky pipes or faucets, causing extra water to drip down the drains and into the septic tank.
