"My two trees were so tall and unruly because of many years of wind and birds. I was very impressed with their work and they did all of my extra requests. They cleaned up so nice afterwards and even talked to my neighbors so that they were also satisfied."

"It is shockingly expensive to hire professional arborists. HOWEVER, it is VITAL to the life of the tree to get expert assistance. It is definitely worth the money to have these experts help care for a very big tree. Excellent job, professional attitudes, very satisfactory performance with top-notch results. Will recommend and re-hire!"

"My special needs cat got stuck in a 30 ft tree for 2 days, and a search said we should call an arborist to get him. The first couldn't do it but recommended these guys. And they were great. Fast, professional, and friendly, if a little confused at first about what we were asking for. Since this was an oddball request for them. Even this review was hard as, there isn't any service for " helped save our cat". We really can't thank them enough."

"There was evidence of termites when construction began so the builder assumed I would need a full termite service. Hydrex inspected and found termite problem is in the past. Could have easily jacked me up for some kind of service but instead they were honest and did not even charge for the inspection. So grateful!"

His son, Robert B. Loibl, Jr., began working and learning from his father after school and on Saturdays. He later started the Lloyd Pest Control Company in San Diego, and was a partner with his father in L & N Pest Control. He also started the Ant-B-Gone Products Company in Los Angeles, California, and then the Pest Control Service Company and Hydrex Pest Control Co., Inc. in Los Angeles, California in 1946. As well as developing a very successful state wide franchise with Hydrex Pest Control, he also held a number of patents. He invented the B-Gone series of pest poisons that many remember, a vermin exterminator, and the Pestron machine for producing insecticidal vapor. He developed many of the methodologies used today. He was committed to keeping where we live, work and play safe and healthy places. He grew his company with men committed to his standards. They are family men, many of whom have p

"We've used them for 5 years. They service all of Orange County in California. They come out every year in November. They show up exactly on time, very prompt. They do the job and they're gone in about 2 1/2 hours. They clean up and they do a great job. Perfect. They are very polite, and very professional. They are all properly licensed and they have everything they need and they jump on my tree and cut and they are done.

"Pine Tree was professionally removed and a stump grinder was used to remove the stump. While grinding, a screen was put up to protect the house from damage. Adrian and his staff were very professional and did a good job cleaning up. Cost was very reasonable."

Arborists questions, answered by experts

When a palm tree no longer produces new fronds and old fronds start turning yellow-brown, that’s a sign the tree is dying. However, transplanted palm trees can show these signs for the first several months as they re-establish themselves. It’s best to keep watering and not give up on the palm tree until a couple of seasons have passed and you’re sure it’s not coming back to life.

Not all leaning trees are dangerous, but they can be a hazard as gravity may eventually cause them to fall. A key factor is whether the lean is new or has been present for a long time. Trees that have grown with a lean for years are not typically an immediate danger, but a sudden lean is a cause for concern as it often indicates weakening roots. If a tree is leaning more than 15% from vertical, you should consider having it straightened or transplanted. To be safe, it's always best to hire a professional arborist to inspect any leaning tree to assess the risk and avoid potential accidents.

Yes, healthy and well-placed large trees can boost property value by an average of 3% to 15%. They improve curb appeal, offer energy savings through shade and wind protection, and are often considered by appraisers during home valuation. On the flip side, removing dead or hazardous trees can also increase value by eliminating safety risks. For the biggest return, choose low-maintenance, native species that thrive in your climate.

The best time to transplant a tree is when it is dormant. For many trees, this means either in the fall after the leaves have dropped (around October or November) or in early spring before new growth begins (around March). The ideal timing can depend on the type of tree. Deciduous trees do well when moved in early spring or fall, while evergreens are best transplanted in early spring or late summer. For example, pine trees are best moved in early fall, but maples prefer late fall. Avoid transplanting in winter, as the frozen or hard, cold soil poses a significant risk to the roots and prevents the tree from acclimating properly.

DIY home gardening can be relaxing, joyful, and cost-effective. From mowing your lawn to planting your own flower beds, there is a wide variety of gardening tasks that you can do yourself to make your yard look beautiful. If you’d rather spend your time not in the dirt, or if you’d like someone to take care of your plants for you, calling a professional gardening service is best. They can give you a workup of what services you’ll need and how often to schedule them.
