"Very up front about the process. Professional, timely, communication was very good. The price quoted was the end price. No typical, well we didn't see this or that, so the price needs to change. Highly recommend Pacific Rim Ecosystemic"

"Anthony and his team were above and beyond any experience I’ve had with any home project. He showed up on time always, was completely available and flexible for adjustments as complications arose, and he guarantees his work for multiple years after the project (unheard of for mold work/remediation). My spouse works for a company that specializes exclusively in mold testing, and she couldn’t believe the quality of Anthony’s work and the price he’s offering it at. I kid you not, there are high end boutique mold companies that wanted to charge us in excess of ten times of Anthony’s price for the exact same services and specialized mold treatment products! I will be going with Anthony and his team for any future work."

Mold Testing and Remediation questions, answered by experts

Yes, drywall mud can get moldy—though the presence of moisture is required for this to happen. That’s why the best way to keep your powdered drywall mud fresh for as long as possible is to keep it in dry storage conditions. If you live in a humid area, it might not make sense to stockpile a lot of powdered drywall mud before you’re ready to use it. As for premixed drywall mud, avoid opening the container until you’re ready to use it—and don’t expect it to last longer than six months.

Unfortunately, asbestos is not easily identified and can often be hidden in plain sight in your home. While it can look like fluffy fibers, tiny pieces can also appear in materials like plastic or cement, making it impossible to identify on your own properly.

Plus, since asbestos is so dangerous when disturbed, you should never root around to try and find it. This job is best for a professional who can test for the material properly.

The pink mold appears because of the presence of a naturally occurring airborne bacteria called serratia marcescens. When this bacteria lands on a moist surface, it multiplies, creating the pink film. To reduce the ability of this bacteria to multiply, use a bathroom exhaust fan to reduce humidity in the bathroom. Regularly clean the interior of the shower with a disinfectant as well.

Yes. Over time, hidden moisture from a leak in your bathroom may lead to black mold, requiring a mold remediation company’s services and the removal of large wall sections, which can be costly. For example, 100 square feet of drywall can cost as much as $400 to replace, while mold remediation can run anywhere from $500 to $3,000.

While an air purifier can trap mold spores and stop them from spreading around your home, it’s not the most effective solution for tackling the problem. Mold is caused by excess moisture and humidity, so there’s a good chance you have an issue somewhere else in your HVAC system that needs to be addressed.
