"We talked over the phone I sent him a picture of the Electrical Panel so he could see that there was room for a new breaker. gave me price over the phone after we talked a bit about the other work to be done. We settled on the price, I ask when he could do the work he said "how about today". He came installed everything a first rate job. I would be happy to have him do more work for me."

"Our main installer was Jesus, and he carefully explained each step of the work and then went over all the information we would need to know. We are very happy with all three items, saving electricity with the SolaTube as we no longer have to turn lights on during the day in our Master bath dressing area, we hope that the Solar attic fan is helping to keep the house cooler by exchanging the air in the attic when it gets hot. In our small home office we replaced an old skylight with new double glass skylight with a shade system and this has made a big difference in the office. Sunshine Experts, LLC did a great job for us and we are very happy to recommend them when anyone asks us about our experience."

"They're pretty good. I think overall they're good, I'm happy I have it. They can be problematic, that's if you don't know your contract and what's covered or not. It's fine. I like it. I like American Home Shield. They don't really vary in cost. They do respond to you. They send really decent referrals and you really don't have to do too much. They have different plans, so it's up to the person to find the plan and know what they are getting. When you call they suggest you go online. So when you go online and it does not turn out what they say, then they say you should have called. It's just a circular thing. When you put a claim in online, it only gives you a category and no opportunity for details and that's a problem. All my electrical smoke alarms went off in the middle of the night. It was horrible, I had to get up on a ladder at 2:00 am in the morning and pull out wires in the ceiling. To me it was an electrical issue, but they dismissed it. Because I couldn't tell them that in the service request, I just put electrical and it was a big problem. They're website needs to have a note, a comment. It would be great instead of a category to add some comments. They don't have that."

Electrical questions, answered by experts

Before starting any electrical project in Winslow, consult the local building department about permits and plan reviews. Hire a licensed electrical contractor who understands regional codes and home wiring best practices. Coordinate early with utility providers if your project involves service panels or meter upgrades. Always call 811 before digging. Schedule work to avoid extreme summer heat, which can delay both inspections and contractor availability.

Helpful?

Winslow’s high desert climate brings intense sunlight, temperature swings, and dust storms, all of which affect electrical work. Monsoon season from July to September increases risks of storm damage and power surges, making it wise to avoid outdoor projects during this time. Use UV-resistant wiring and weatherproof enclosures, and schedule major electrical upgrades for spring or fall when conditions are milder and safer.

Helpful?

Upgrading your home’s electrical system in Winslow enhances comfort by supporting efficient HVAC use during hot, dry summers. Increased electrical capacity allows for additional cooling units, smart thermostats, and surge protection—key for monsoon season. Modern wiring and outlets improve electrical safety, while added circuits and smart home features make daily routines more convenient and energy-efficient in the high desert climate.

Helpful?

Regular maintenance is essential in Winslow due to dust storms, strong sun, and temperature extremes. Clean electrical panels and outdoor outlets quarterly to prevent dust buildup. Inspect for UV damage and secure all outdoor wiring before monsoon season. Test GFCI outlets monthly, and have a qualified electrical contractor perform a yearly inspection to check for rodent damage and ensure your system remains safe and reliable.

Helpful?

In Winslow, address urgent electrical safety issues—such as flickering lights, warm outlets, or outdated panels—right away, especially before monsoon season. Plan major upgrades like panel replacements or home wiring improvements in spring to avoid summer’s extreme heat. Less critical projects, such as adding outlets or installing smart switches, can be scheduled for fall or winter when contractors are more available.
