Hello! we are Vaughn and Mary Byrd, owners of Heaven's Best Carpet Cleaning of Southern Arizona. While our business is new, I bring over 20 years of professional carpet cleaning experience to every job. After years in the industry, my family and I decided it was time to build a company centered on honest service, exceptional results, and treating every customer like a neighbor.\n\nWe're proud to be a locally owned and family-operated business. Every cleaning is performed by me and, in many cases, my young adult son. When you schedule with us, you'll always know who's coming to your home—no subcontractors, no revolving crews, just a family that takes pride in delivering quality work.\n\nWe proudly serve homeowners throughout Tucson, Oro Valley, Marana, Vail, Sahuarita, Green Valley, and surrounding Southern Arizona communities. We're fully licensed and insured, giving you peace of mind every step of the way.\n

"Teresa called me the very next morning after I went on Home Advisor. She asked about my request since I checked bi-weekly instead of bi-monthly. I was very impressed that she wanted all the facts straight. OOoops. Twice a MONTH please. We set the date for later the next week. She asked about what kind of floors I have, and she provides the cleaning supplies. We decided she would start with a deep clean of the kitchen first since she was by herself this time, and then plan a routine after two months or 4 trips. I was very impressed with how my kitchen looked AND with Teresa's professionalism !"

Both bleach and vinegar are effective at killing and removing moss from surfaces like driveways. Bleach tends to have a longer-lasting effect, potentially keeping moss away for up to a year, whereas vinegar may require more frequent applications. However, vinegar is a non-chemical option that is gentler on the environment. A key consideration is the surface you are treating, as both substances can stain or discolor certain paver materials. It is recommended to test the solution on a small, inconspicuous area first to ensure it doesn't cause damage.

To maintain metal roof health, schedule regular inspections, clear debris from gutters, and check for signs of corrosion.

While removing every snowflake from your roof is unnecessary, you should remove a significant buildup of snow. Since snow is wet and heavy, it can easily cause damage to your roof, which can lead to needing costly repairs.

Additionally, when the snow melts but has nowhere to go and refreezes, it can create an ice dam, causing mold concerns due to water leaking into your attic and ceiling. For these reasons, it’s best to hire a snow removal professional to clear heavy snowfall from your roof as soon as possible.

You should avoid using a pressure washer on any surface or item that could be damaged by the high-pressure spray, as some materials are too delicate to withstand the force.

Key items and surfaces to avoid include:

  • Electrical Components: Never pressure wash electrical systems, as water can cause short-circuits and create a safety hazard. This includes utility meters, breaker boxes, electrical outlets, generators, and HVAC or air conditioner units.

  • Delicate and Fragile Materials: Fragile items can crack, shatter, or be stripped by the pressure. Avoid pressure washing windows, glass, light fixtures, shingled roofs (especially asphalt), and stucco.

  • Painted, Stained, or Sealed Surfaces: Unless your goal is to strip the finish, do not pressure wash painted surfaces, stained wood (like decks), or anything with a protective seal that could be stripped away. Be especially cautious with older surfaces that may contain lead paint.

  • Soft Woods and Certain Decking: Delicate surfaces like softwood, composite decking, and antique or wooden patio furniture can be etched or damaged. If you must wash wood, use a lower-powered pressure washer with a wide-angle nozzle to prevent damage.

  • Living Things: Never use a pressure washer on people, pets, or plants. The force can cause serious injury and will destroy landscaping.

To maintain a slate roof and prolong its lifespan, conduct regular inspections, ideally annually, or schedule professional inspections. Key maintenance includes cleaning gutters regularly, promptly replacing any broken or damaged tiles, and ensuring the flashing remains intact to prevent leaks. It is also recommended to remove overhanging tree branches and address minor issues as soon as they appear.
