"I called and mentioned that my Rheem tankless water heater was generating an error code 13. I checked online and this meant the flame rods need cleaning with steel wool. So I mentioned that to the dispatcher, the technician came out and told me the same exact thing, and he couldn’t fix it, but I could call another company and they would be able to fix it. So why did I have to pay $150 for the technician to remove four screws and tell me something I already knew and the dispatcher knew? Not sure but he wanted to sell me a new unit for $10,000 and install a water softener."
