"Utilizing All Service Moving for the move was a very positive experience. They had good communication, answering several questions prior to the move and did a final confirmation just prior to the move date. As for the physical move itself, Jose, Abraham, and Alberto were polite, diligent, and careful moving the many items, and managed to complete the move more quickly than anticipated."

"Kingâ s made sure that I understood every part of the moving process. On moving day, Angelo and Gilbert worked quickly and carefully to make sure everything was wrapped and loaded on the truck in no time. Kingâ s has made a potentially stressful move easy and stress free."

"The Packing service was well worth it and quite a value when you consider how well and efficiently they packed our items. Not to mention the amount of stress that was relieved by having them take on that task. On of that, the same crew moved our items the next day into our new house; the Moving service was equally as impressive and efficient. Was absolutely money well spent."

Small jobs welcome

"I called United Prime Van Lines only 1 week before my move - they were extremely helpful and accommodating. On the day of the move we hit a snag, as there was someone else moving on my floor at the same time and we only had 1 elevator. They made the most of it and we moved a lot of stuff down 4 flights of stairs in a timely manner. Trustworthy and competent!"

Moving questions, answered by experts

Yes, you can take your potted plants with you when you move if you use sterilized potting soil. However, some states have strict guidelines about this practice, so it’s best to consult the Department of Agriculture’s regulations surrounding pest control and plant types ahead of your move.

Full-service movers provide all the necessary packing supplies and materials—saving you time and money. In addition, long-distance moving companies have special blankets and padding to move heavy, bulky items. Full-service movers will pack and unpack your belongings quickly and safely and dispose of all the packing materials, including recycling cardboard boxes.

Focus on decluttering when downsizing to move cross-country. Selling, donating, or recycling unwanted items early in your moving process is key to your success. If you are on the fence about some items, consider storage options, or you can ship these items separately to lessen your load.

Up to a point, you can change your mind about moving into a new apartment. But once you’ve signed a lease, you are under certain obligations that can make changing your mind very expensive, at the very least. That’s one reason it’s important to do a walkthrough and to read all documents carefully before signing.

Apartments come with strict regulations about what pets are allowed, so check before you sign a lease. If you have a fish or reptile, wait to move them until everything is set up and you’re ready to do a special move just for them and their aquarium/terrarium.

For a dog or cat, be sure you have a carrier before the move. On moving day, it’s best to designate a “safe room” or even a crate for your pet to help them get used to the new space. Keep everything they need in the safe room, and let them explore the rest of the apartment in their own time.
