"I was thrilled with the work performed by the Mercury Pool team. The waterline tile work was detailed, completed with care and high quality. The cool deck and pebble tech were also done very well. The scheduling was little hit and miss, due to weather, holidays and trying to juggle all customers. The cost of the remodel was reasonable. Overall, I was very happy with the quality of work by Mercury Pools and results of my pool remodel."
"John removed some cabinets in my garage. I appreciated that he called ahead to notify me of his arrival time. While performing the job, he was very friendly and helpful with some electrical issues. John is highly knowledgeable and skillful in a variety of home repair and maintenance concerns. I highly recommend this business anyone."
"I have used Pearl Painting in the past for the interior and exterior of my home, and once again I am pleased with the results. I love the cool decking, it makes my patio and pool area so much more enjoyable. They were timely, clean and very detailed oriented."

"We chose Clark Concepts for the extensive remodeling (outlined below) on our home which we are currently renting, unfortunately our financing for purchasing the home fell through at the last minute so we were forced to postpone all work for one year in which case we will not use anyone but Clark Concepts. From the very beginning we received nothing but the utmost respect and professionalism - all of our calls were returned the same day or early the next morning at the latest, all questions were answered in an upfront and honest manner, and during the estimate process Joe was able to show us where to scale back our ideas and where we could further others but not for much more cost (example saving items from the kitchen and flooring to be re-used in the laundry room and kitchenette), where others would have simply gone the route of just doing everything at the highest price. Nothing was ever pushed on us, he always asked questions to make sure he understood our vision for our home correctly and made sure we understood the processes etc. and was very honest about things which may not have been a good idea. Ultimately we settled on the following improvements: New siding New (expanded) deck Railing added to the front porch Finish the basement including: replacing the furnace, running central air, updating the electrical box adding a kitchenette adding a laundry room, adding an office closing in furnace room New flooring through the entire house Gutting and re-doing/slightly expanding the kitchen Gutting both full bathrooms and expanding the master bath Replacing the garage doors While in our home we were always treated with the utmost respect, I am expecting and I have a small child in the home and he understood my urgency in getting the repairs taken care of so my home is safe for my children and having everything undertaken in a manner which will be safe in and of itself. By the end of the process, while heartbroken that we were forced to delay improvements for a year I still have absolutely no doubt in my mind that Clark Concepts is the company which we will be using. Through this entire process Joe has gone above and beyond in every manner possible - even though he hadn't started work yet when we had an emergency with the furnace and I was having trouble finding someone to come out and fix it in the middle of the night Joe was ready with one of his people to have it fixed once he got my message. From my experience a company of this integrity is a rare find in this day and age, I can honestly say that there is no one I would feel more comfortable with working on and in my home, and I am happy to give the highest recommendation and reference - I do not give out such high praise for everyone. I hope this helps anyone who needed to know anything about this company."

There are several perks to building a deck around your inground or above-ground pool. Specifically, building a deck around a pool gives you space to lounge and sunbathe, easy access to monitor kids in the pool, extra room for entertaining and dining, an anti-slip surface for post-pool fun, and enhanced aesthetics.
You can build an outdoor kitchen on a deck, but you should choose composite decking since it's more heat-resistant. Metal deck materials like steel and aluminum are also good choices because they're less flammable than wood. You should also consider the weight of the kitchen—make sure your deck can support it and any appliances you plan to use. You should consult a structural engineer to confirm exactly how much weight your deck can safely support when building an outdoor kitchen.
Homeowners should build their floating decks at least 18 inches off the ground. Having it at this height will allow for better airflow underneath and help prevent moisture-related problems like warping or rot. That being said, local guidelines for deck heights may vary depending on where you live.
Yes, you can build a deck around a fire pit, as long as it is safely enclosed, meets code requirements, and is at least 15 feet away from your home. You’ll want to ensure you have a heat-resistant barrier between the fire pit and your deck to prevent any structural damage and fires. A galvanized ring surrounded by pavers, brick, or stone makes for a beautiful, safe, and sturdy design.
The best base materials for a ground-level or floating deck are typically gravel and crushed stone (also known as landscaping rocks). These options are inexpensive, provide excellent drainage, prevent weeds, and help minimize moisture buildup, which reduces shifting and rotting. For added stability and to evenly distribute the weight, you can use concrete deck blocks or pavers. While more expensive, concrete blocks and pavers offer a sturdier base than gravel or crushed stone alone.
