CDC Pool Remodeling Specialists was born in 1990 when Roger and Chris teamed up to solve a problem they saw in the Arizona pool market. We’re different than most pool contractors you’ll see: We use our own interior pool surface, tile and plumbing crews. Many contractors sub this work out. We don’t. Because pool remodeling is different than new pool construction (the main business of most of the pool companies you’ll talk to). Pool remodeling is full of surprises. There are dozens of things we uncover on each job that require experience to recognize and a commitment to quality to do the right thing. We have more superintendents in the field than contractors twice our size. Why? Again, the nature of remodeling AND our owners’ commitment to quality. This is construction, things go wrong and we’re not perfect. But we do our best to put experienced crews we control on the job and put experienced, committed superintendents on each job. You’ll meet the super who runs your project. Our owners are in the field. Chris built custom homes and pools. Roger came from the service and retail side of the pool business. One of them is in just about every backyard. We think this makes a difference. Ask around, we think you’ll agree. License #121372. Addiional DBAs - CDC Pool Remodeling Specialists, CDC Pools Remodeling Specialists.

"This company was professional, and expertise was notable thru the entire process. I received quotes from 4 companies in our region and the representative Cassie Selle was absolutely knowledgeable and professional in her assessment and the confidence in the quote provided. We had a full resurface done to our pool and after consultation with Cassie we visited their company site and they had displays with the majority of all the choices in material they provide for resurfacing. Then the whole plan started to be executed. The onsite Project Manager kept us informed and comfortable with every step in the process. Everyone in this company is courteous, expert in their knowledge and professional beyond any other company I have spoken with. No gouging or pressure at any time, just make your choices and have them execute. I highly recommend this company to any private pool owners.... Respectfully, Jim"

"***STAY AWAY*** They should remove the word "Solutions" from their name. That is far from what they provide. I started the process with Arizona Foundation "solutions" back in May of 2021 to fix a retaining wall/foundation. After meeting with the sales person they did let me know that they can proceed with engineering the "solution". After about 30 days I met with the sales person again so he could present the "solution" and take a deposit. I agreed to the option they offered and they stated I would be on the calendar to be completed before December 2021. During the permitting process there were items that came up that were needed from me directly by the county. These items were provided. After these items were provided I had not been contacted by anyone at the company to schedule the repair. At at the same time I was told by the county that Arizona Foundation "Solutions" was needing more engineering from me to complete the job. Obviously this was concerning as I should have heard about this directly from the company I was spending ten's of thousands of dollars with. However it was crickets. After reaching out to the sales person by call, text, email with no response before the holidays, I gave him the benefit of the doubt and waited until after the holidays and tried again with no avail. I then was put in contact with the "Area Sales Manager" whom after a week reviewed everything and let me now that the project they had in their hands for 7-8 months now was unfortunately out of scope for their company to complete and said they would be refunding me my deposit. I questioned how was this job reviewed and drawn out by an engineer and yet its somehow not able to be completed by them? Another week went by and the same manager contacting me and let me know that the owner reviewed and said they would solve this and get the job completed. I mistrustfully agreed for them to continue. After waiting another 2 weeks with no communication, I reached back out only to find out they were wrong and actually could not come up with a "solution" and would be refunding me my deposit (again). I waited another 2 weeks for my check to come in the mail and then called again to now find out they sent the check to a wrong address and would need to cancel that check and send out another. I asked for them overnight the check for my inconvenience and the refused to as this was an "additional cost that had to be approved". Throughout the most recent 2 months I tried to get the owners (Bob Brown) attention by phone/email to discuss my entire situation and was told he was in "meetings" 10/10 times I called. I was FINALLY able to get him to call back once I called every hour on the hour same day. As I expressed to the owner, the incompetency and ignorance starts at the top at his company. Not only was the communication poor at best during my dealings, the fact that an apologize nor any remorse was expressed on how my customer service experience was. A few key items to any contracting/construction work is setting expectations, communication, and follow through. NONE of which was provided by Arizona Foundation "Solutions". This type of work is extremely costly and any company completing it should be handling their customers with at least some respect while they spend a price of a new car or part of a college tuition on."

Patterson remodeling & custom tile strives to deliver the highest quality workmanship with unparalleled customer service.

"Jake with Patterson did our remodel without pulling the proper permits and it's been going on now for over 2 yrs. Brad (operations manager) told me to file a complaint with the ROC so I did when the ROC came to inspect he asked Jake and Jason did you pull the proper permits? They said no they messed up. So the city had to come out and found 2 pages of stuff wrong along with 45 things wrong with the ROC complaint some of the stuff is still not completed. Jake put a window in our master bath without our permission and didn't put the correct Lentil in per code of the city, Patterson had to hire an engineer, they told Gary (engineer) not to listen to me because Patterson hired him not me. So the window is now sitting with masking tape around it and exposed to the elements. So now Patterson is Sueing me for not paying them in full, Jake made it very clear to me that my balance was incurring interest. They still have an open city inspection and the ROC COMPLAINT (look on ROC website) that is not completed. We moved out in august of 2021 we were suppose to be moved back in before thanksgiving, but Jake needed to get his mothers kitchen done first for there family. Then we were suppose to be in before Xmas that didn't happen. Now it's January still not completed and all this time Jake knew he didn't pull permits on the remodel. So now we have a hearing with the ROC and going through a lawsuit with Patterson because they didn't do the job properly in the first place. They got caught now they are trying to band aids on work saying it's done to industry standards. We have soft closed drawers in the kitchen they don't close properly when the ROC inspector ask Jason why didn't you fix this Jason's reply "they have to much in the drawers" my wife said there's Tupperware in there lolo we finally moved back in Feb 2022 and the house still wasn't complete day of move in we literally human feces coming up Out of our drain. Jake Jason and Brad have made this the worst experience ever. NOBODY should have to go through ROC hearings and lawsuits spend money on attorneys fees and missing more then 30days of work and Patterson still can't complete the job properly, all they want to TRY and do is bully you to pay them."

As a professional concrete coating contractor who is registered contractor with AZ State Board of Contractors; we have been engaged in the provision of providing indoor and outdoor flooring services for garages, entryways, driveways, patio’s, pools, backyards and interior spaces for almost 2 decades. Our most requested services include: Decorative paver and concrete work for driveways, entryways and walkways Epoxy floor coating for garage floors Pool Cool Deck (Kool Deck) repair for patios and pools Stamped overlay and faux stone entry way and patio flooring Quality Services at Affordable Costs: Concrete contractors can be at times expensive. BWe like to our clients feel that they received quality professional services at reasonable rates compared to many of the high-end competitors out there. The result has been receiving more clients, specifically through word-of-mouth, which has largely contributed to our growth .

"Not recommended. I had to put in 1 star to post. They don't deserve any stars. They stiffed my parents, who are an elderly couple. Ultimate was supposed to power wash, buff, fix any joint chips BEFORE sealing driveway, walks, and back porch according to their own proposal. They did NO PREP WORK, and it has destroyed the area. All the dust and dirt are sealed in. When reached to have them address and correct the issues, they stated their sealant professional was an idiot, but still refused to provide correcting or refund of work they messed up. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!"

Concrete Leveling questions, answered by experts

Concrete houses will last for between 75 and 150 years, depending on the environmental factors in your area. Unlike lumber in stick-built houses, concrete doesn’t rot, and it’s more resistant to wildfires and earthquake damage, so you’ll almost always get a longer lifespan from a concrete house than you would a traditionally framed one.

Yes, it's typically best to set aluminum fence posts in concrete. You can technically use a mix of gravel and soil instead, but concrete is more stable and secure. Concrete also lasts longer and does a much better job of withstanding the outdoor elements than a gravel or soil mix.

Yes, you can screw directly into concrete, but only if you use screws specifically made for masonry or concrete. They're often labeled as masonry screws and made of steel and a special thread that provides a strong grip. However, even when using these screws, drilling a pilot hole first will make it much easier.

A floating slab is a single chunk of concrete that sits directly on flat soil, while a monolithic slab is a single piece of concrete that includes built-in footings that reach several feet below where the majority of the slab sits. Monolithic slabs provide more support, so they’re suitable for home construction, whereas floating slabs get minimal support from the soil directly below and are more common under sheds and detached garages.

A pergola needs to be anchored, and typically, concrete is the best anchor option. Pergolas should be anchored to a concrete slab or concrete footings, and this is commonly required by municipal building codes. When applying for a permit to install a pergola, be sure to check the anchoring requirements as well.
