With Uxari, you and your home are connected, automatically. You choose what to connect (devices) and we do the connecting (wireless services plan). Plus, we do it for as little as $99 down with monthly payments as low as $34.99. At Uxari, you will talk to a real person when you have a question, 7 days a week. So go ahead, start enjoying your new life style, knowing answers to all your questions are only a call or an e-mail away. And the best part is all of our services come with a 30-day, risk-free trial. We believe in not only finding exactly the right plan for you, but making sure you’re completely satisfied with it, too.

"The Smart Home features they installed, such as thermostat and door locks, etc. do not always work. For example, the Honeywell thermostat can no longer be operated from our phones and is difficult to install. Remote door locks are also unpredictable."

"AVOID!!! Company is sneaky and incompetent. Techs didn't install compatible equipment, took 3 years for them to find out my sensor never even worked, had to hire outside company for tech support because again their techs are not competent. HORRIBLE customer service and their contract guidelines are sneaky with auto renew contracts. They got an extra $1000 out of me in an economy like this. Poor business tactics."

Home Automation questions, answered by experts

Home automation costs an average of $1,000, and most projects fall between $200 and $2,000. The total cost will depend largely on the level of automation you want in your home. High-tech, all-inclusive systems can cost well over $10,000 for larger homes, so most homeowners set a budget and then provide that to an expert to get the best results. You can also opt for DIY home automation technology for between $100 and $500, but the scope and interaction between products are usually limited.

Smart sprinkler controllers cost $150 to $350 or more, depending on the brand, style, and technology. You can swap your traditional timer for a smart controller as long as it's compatible with your system.

The cost to install a new smart sprinkler system from scratch ranges from $1,800 to $7,000, depending on the size of your lawn and the number of zones you need. It’s best to hire a pro to install a sprinkler system because it’s labor-intensive and requires technical skills and specialized equipment.

Yes, many professionals offer installation for specialty locks, high-security latches, and decorative hardware.

The difference between smart home and home automation technology is that home automation is a more comprehensive home control system. It requires more expertise and work to install and set up, but homeowners have greater control over the various areas and functions in the home via their smartphone. Smart home technology is generally easier to install and set up. But it typically needs an internet connection to work as intended, which can limit functionality if there’s a disruption in internet service.

While smart doorbells offer security and convenience, they come with disadvantages. Most non-wired options rely on a stable internet connection, making them vulnerable to outages. The same applies to wired devices that depend on power, but most models have a backup battery. There is also the privacy issue, as these devices constantly capture video and audio around the front door, which could be a pro or con. Considering these factors is essential before moving forward with installation.
