Went great.  would use again.

I went to this Home Depot location and special ordered some new tile for my bathroom. Not only did they order the wrong tile, they refused to give me a refund or correct their error because they insisted that I ordered the wrong product myself. I am not blind and did not order something I did not want or need. I had to fight with the store manager in order to get a refund. I will never order anything from this store again.

If I had to do it over, I would probably shop around a little bit on the price because I'm not sure that was the best price through Home Depot. But I'm happy with what they did. I would probably look at a local vendor and see how competitive they are. With regard to price, I think we can do better.

This was the worst experience in service I have experienced. We had to make the order over the phone with a person out of our state. When the carpet showed up at our home it appeared to be the wrong pattern, but we did not have a sample with which to compare the carpet. I returned to Home Depot to check the order against, but HD no longer had any samples and could not produce any for comparison. We accepted the carpet becase we did not want to wait 7-10 days for delivery of another carpet, as all of our furnature was muved and piled outside. However, the installers could not return for another 24 hours, even though I and Home depot had notified the installer early in the morning. The installers were late, and when they did show up the truck they were in was a wreck! Once the carpet was installed, three of the rooms had carpet which was coming up ar the seams, and the master closet has an impression running down the center of that room. We had to spend several days with inspectors and reinstallers, as well as running back to HD or get as product warranty documents, all of which should have been correct and provided the first time. Okay, my mistake was to go to Home Depot for carpet! Don't you make the same mistake!

I choose this because I could look at the products.  Their prices are good too. 

They did a fabulous job.

I bought the carpet at Home Depot and then they set up the installation. The experience went really well. I thought the price was a little expensive.

They tried the BAIT AND SWITCH on us and when we objected to paying more, they called the tile installer off the job. They made us pay for the installation in advance. They wouldn t set up a time with us for installation until the afternoon before arriving. Our plumber was removing old toilets and installing new ones. He tried to work around their schedule and so did we, but they absolutely refused to cooperate with anyone. The installer came on a Friday to install the tile in the first bathroom and was to return on Tuesday to install the second. When the installer was already working, HD called and said we would have to pay $175 more because we were having the installer come back more than 3 days after installing the first floor. (This is not in the contract at all.) We pointed out that Tuesday would only be 2 days since the first floor had been installed and they said, "Oh no. We work on Saturday." Huh!!! How were we to know that? It had never been discussed. They wouldn t set up any definite installation dates. And doesn t 3 days mean 3 business days in most businesses? I was in my home office next to the bathroom where the installer was working. Because of the dust, I had my door mostly closed with it cracked open slightly in case he had a question. After he received a call from Home Depot, he walked out, leaving our front door open, without letting me know he was leaving or why. We called the installation company and Home Depot to find out why the installer walked out. We got a huge run-around from both and were never able to talk to the same person twice. The next day we went to Home Depot to talk with the woman who originally set up the installation. At the time of the original conversation with her, concerning the tile installation, she had told us that installing the floors on two separate days (so we could have the use of a toilet) would be fine. When we approached her, she started the conversation with a statement to the effect that "She was not going to lose her job over this." We couldn t get any information from her. Not even the full name of the man at Home Depot we had the original disagreement with over the last minute add-on charges. We called our credit card company and requested a stop payment. The next day we got two more calls from two different people with Home Depot. We told them we wanted to cancel the installation and we wanted our money back. They agreed. We went in the next day and had a credit put on the card we had used. We had our tile installation done by Barcelona Brothers at a very good price and it looks great. Barcelona Brothers were very nice people to work with. We were two weeks behind schedule but it was worth it not to have to work with such lying cheats at Home Depot.

Home Depot installed laminate flooring for us as well, but, I am unsure what that charge was. Not only did they do great with the windows, they did great with the floors. The price for the windows was very reasonable and it was done to my satisfaction. They were really nice guys. They gave me a time when they would be here with the windows and that is what time they were here. They worked very hard to finish quickly and they did exactly what they said they would do.

If this isn't bait & switch, I'd like to know what it is. Home Depot sells you a garage door for $718--does say it'll cost another couple hundred to reframe the opening--but the contractor a) jacks up the installation price to almost double what you've paid and b) refuses to do any repair work on the existing door. Contractor told me single-unit doors are unsafe; a Google search reveals they are not and are being sold all over the country.

The estimator they sent made me sit through a high-pressure sales pitch, complete with flip chart, and then told me the house needed a $10,000 roofing job! This, for ordinary asphalt shingles. Web research showed his claim that the roof needed a new ventilation system was untrue; this was confirmed by two other contractors. I paid another contractor $5,600 for the job.

THEY CAME WHEN EXPECTED, BUT HAD TO COME BACK TWICE. THE DOORS WOULD LOCK BUT COULDN'T BE REOPENED.

EXCELLENT SERVICE FROM THE EMPLOYEES IN THE DESIGN CENTER DEPARTMENT. PERSON WHO CAME TO MY HOME TO MEASURE FOR ALL BLINDS AND MAKE TEMPLATE FOR THE FAN BLIND DID A VERY PRECISE JOB. EVERYTHING FIT PERFECTLY. THE INSTALLERS DID A GREAT JOB, TOO.

THEY WERE VERY COURTEOUS AND HELPFUL IN THE STORE, HELPING US CHOSE THE RIGHT DOOR. FINISH AND INSTALLATION WAS VERY WELL DONE. I WAS PLEASED WITH THE OVERALL JOB THEY DID.

BECAUSE OF THEIR KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERTISE I PURCHASED A LARGER HOT WATER HEATER FOR THE SAME PRICE AS MY PREVIOUS SMALLER ONE. IT WORKS GREAT AND IS MADE BY GE. THEY HELPED WITH THE INSTALLATION AND LOADED THE HOT WATER HEATER WITH GREAT CARE. I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM FOR PURCHASE AND INSTALL OF THESE ITEMS.

THEY WERE VERY PROFESSIONAL. THE SALES PEOPLE SPENT A LOT OF TIME WITH US. THE PEOPLE WHO INSTALLED THE CARPET WERE ON TIME, WORKED QUICKLY, AND NEVER ONCE MENTIONED HOW FILTHY & DISGUSTING THE OLD CARPET WAS! WE WERE VERY PLEASED WITH THE END PRODUCT!

NO BIDS. WENT TO HOME DEPOT AND GOT THE EQUIPMENT.
