Arizona Color Quest Painting has been a licensed and bonded company since 2001. Roc #170899 I started in the painting, drywall and wall covering industry in 1983 when I was 16 years old. Since then I have worked with some of Arizona's largest painting companies such as Pete King and Ghaster Painting completing many jobs in both commercial and residential. I completed top of my class 3 years interior decorating and design through the Phoenix Painters Union Local 86 and I have worked on projects such as the Wildlife World Zoo building and painting exhibits for over 10 years, Phoenix City Hall, Pointe resorts as well as many residential projects new and repaint. I have a vast knowledge in the construction industry and don't "just throw the paint on". I know what causes the underlying problems and how to CORRECTLY fix it. I was also a Superintendent for Del Webb Coventry and participated in the building of many large housing divisions such as Anthem, Sun City West, Sun City Grand, McDowell Mountain Ranch Stetson Hills and Kensington Estates in Mesa just to name a few. I have a very strong reputation for my integrity and quality and can provide many reliable and VERY satisfied references upon request. I have never had any complaints with ROC and provide a high quality job with attention to detail. If you are looking fo a low ball scab painter then I am not your painter. "It is hard to review this company. The contractor they sent to do my widows was great! His name is Heath Coffield from Coffield construction. So, this company does have great work. However, their customer services outside of the contractor they hired is not great. They will go weeks on end without giving you any type of update and since they do not notate things will, there was miscommunication."

The best exterior paint finish for stucco is a flat or low-gloss finish. A high-gloss finish will show imperfections in the stucco and give it a candy-coated look that many homeowners don’t like. The best types of exterior paint to use on stucco are acrylic, masonry, and elastomeric. However, acrylic is recommended because it is both durable and breathable.

The easiest way to remove stucco is to use a circular saw with a diamond blade to cut small squares out, pry them off, and then cut the metal lath behind it with tin snips. It’s possible to do everything with a hammer and a crowbar, but it will take significantly longer and will wear you out more quickly. Plus, you’ll have a higher risk of damaging windows, hidden siding, and sheathing if you go the less precise route.

A standard drill will work just fine if you’re drilling small holes, and only a few of them. But anything with a diameter larger than 3/8 inch is best done with a hammer drill, since it is stronger, faster, and also makes your drill bits last longer. While you don’t absolutely need a hammer drill for stucco, it is a worthy investment if you think you might drill more holes down the road.

The curing time for stucco typically takes several weeks to fully complete. During the curing process, the stucco undergoes a chemical reaction and gradually hardens. It's important to note that curing is different from drying. While the surface of the stucco may dry relatively quickly within a few hours or days, the curing process continues beneath the surface, strengthening and solidifying the stucco. 

It's best to avoid excessive moisture exposure during the curing period, as it can impede the curing process. The exact curing time can vary based on factors such as temperature, humidity, and the specific stucco mixture used.
