"I had 5 large mulberry trees that over hung my dwelling that both my insurance company and fire department insisted be removed before I could qualify for a fire abatement letter and insurance coverage. All the trees were removed in a single days time with no damage to the dwellings roof or property and the debris was cleaned up and disposed of too ! Bill and his crew were great !"

"Review by Juanita J. in Douglas, AZ Project: Trimming of large Mulberry Trees Malcolm listened to what I wanted done and executed the work in a very professional and timely manner. The removal of all the debris was included in the quoted price which was very reasonable. They cleaned up after themselves and left the property spotless. I would highly recommend them."

"I had large shrubs that needed trimming and they did a good job but didn't quite have the tools needed for trimming some of them. Although they did do well with what they had. Will hire them again."

Leaf Removal questions, answered by experts

Unfortunately, lead dust does not look different from any other type of dust. You cannot detect it with the naked eye. To determine if you have lead dust in your home, you will need to hire a local company to take a sample from the paint and test it for you in a lab.

Professional lead-paint abatement companies use a variety of methods to remove lead-based paint, depending on each particular situation. Some of the most common methods include:

  • Total removal: $8–$17 per square foot

  • Demolition and replacement: $1,000–$15,000 per project

  • Encapsulation: $4 per square foot

  • Enclosure: $10 per square foot

  • Chemical stripping: $10–$17 per square foot

You can sell a house with lead paint, but there are several requirements. If you are aware that lead paint exists anywhere in the home, you must disclose that to potential buyers. Required home inspections will often uncover lead paint, especially for older houses where lead paint may still be a problem. If you have taken steps to encapsulate lead, you should provide buyers with full documentation of the project so it won’t cause any problems later on.

When a surface that contains lead dust is disturbed, the dust can float about in the air for roughly an hour before settling again. Since you cannot see the dust, it is important always to wear protective gear when working with any materials that may contain lead paint and to keep children, pets, and others away from the area for as long as possible

You can paint over lead paint, or “encapsulate” it with a special paint that includes an ingredient called an encapsulant. The EPA approves encapsulation as a lead paint removal method as long as the paint remains undisturbed. Standard types of paint without an “encapsulant” from the big box stores or hardware stores do not meet EPA standards for remediation of lead-based paint.
