The most important cost factor is the size of the room or area, as many contractors charge on a per-square-foot basis. You should also consider the complexity of the installation. If you have large, flat walls with few wall openings, you’ll pay less than if you have multiple windows and doors to cut around, corners, or curved walls.

To hide drywall edges, you need to properly apply drywall tape and multiple layers of joint compound. Metal toggle bolts can be reused, provided you can successfully remove the toggle from behind the wall. Once you remove the bolt, the toggle often falls down and can be difficult to retrieve without removing the drywall.

The time it takes for thinset to dry is determined by your room’s ambient temperature and humidity levels. Assuming the average humidity level is around 40% with an average temperature of 70 degrees Fahrenheit, thinset can dry within 48 hours. Lower temperatures and higher humidity can extend the curing process beyond 72 hours, while high heat and zero humidity can shorten the curing process. However, thinset can crack if it dries too fast.
