"James was referred to by my daughter. He was so kind and understanding. I tried 5 other plumbers but no one would return my calls. James finished a job in hot springs and came straight to do my work. I would recommend him any time. Great gentleman. Thank you James"

"Jim and his team of helpers--Allen in particular--recreated my kitchen, living, dining, and laundry areas. Their first project was installing two high line toilets in the bath areas. With Jim's guidance, the decision was made to take down the two kitchen cabinets and wall that blocked the view to the living, dining and deck areas. Jim suggested the door from the dining area to the guest room be closed in so we could move the refrigerator to that area and build storage cabinets in the previous refrigerator space. It was decided that an appliance garage would be built about the counter to hide the coffee pot, toaster, can opener and two large drawers would be built below the counter to hold dinner plates, cups, saucers, bowls and other kitchen items. Instead of losing cabinet space, we added several square feet of beautiful new cabinets as well as a total of four drawers! Pull out drawers were installed in each of the cabinet areas as well as under the sink making it very easy to access the trash can and cleaning products under the sink.
Jim and Allen worked diligently to frame out the kitchen bar so that the area would be level for the granite installation. Electrical work was relocated so lights, electrical outlets and garbage disposal elements were included in the granite design. With the addition of the white Taj Mahal granite, this area is now a key focal point of the room and a beautiful design element.
Since wall space was limited in the living area, the coat closet opening was covered and the opening moved to the laundry room, thus providing much needed space for decorative accessories. Jim's experience in remodeling townhomes lead him to suggest that a vent be installed over the stove and place the microwave in the newly built cabinet.
Ceiling fans were wired in to the living room and master bedroom. Fluorescent ceiling lighting was re-routed. A rolling storage cart was created with the two cabinets that were removed from the kitchen and the property is ready for renters to enjoy the beauty both indoors and outdoors at this Segovia Lake property. Jim will be returning to do a covering for the deck once this homeowner has saved up some more money. Jim is a true professional who is honest, works hard, and gets the job done in a timely fashion with reasonable pricing. My mother and I contracted with him in 2012 in her $25,000 remodeling job. He has exceeded our expectations in both projects. He has a keen grasp of costs of materials and labor and he willingly shares his knowledge with his customers.

"Freewalt Builders did our extensive remodeling project and did a generally excellent job. The demolition involved taking down and hauling off a suspended concrete patio, fireplace and gutting the den, laundry area, kitchen and a bathroom all down to the studs. They pulled all that off, especially breaking up and hauling off that massive suspended concrete patio creatively and inexpensively. Many structural repairs were needed due to leakage around the old fireplace, etc. Nothing fazed them.
We had drawn floor plans, deck plans and electrical/gas/water plans for the rebuild. There were some challenges, like the spot where we were going to need a very long laminated beam to support the upstairs as we were pulling out a 16? run of the outside wall. They handled it all easily. Art and co. made some good suggestions for tweaks in a few cases, including getting the maximum square footage gain out of the effort. He brought in good craftsmen for the custom cabinetry (excellent job by John Robertson) and counters (another excellent job by John Baker ? Top That LLC). Good tile and finishing work, and good painting. Appliance installations went well. We put on a multi-level deck around the new expanded areas and decided to go with cedar on all of the visible surfaces and pressure-treated pine for the support posts and underpinnings. Art found a good cedar supplier which helped with the cost quite a bit. He might have gone a little over the top dressing up the deck woodwork, but I have to say it?s pretty. All of the things they built, from the footing for the new sunroom on up to the roof, and everything in between, are built to last. You could park an Abrams tank on that deck!
Things to watch out for: We are in Little Rock. Art and his crew and other subcontractors are all from Hot Springs Village and Hot Springs. Since we ended up doing this over the winter (mid-Nov ?13 to mid-May ?14) there were many weather-related delays as they simply could not get here from there. So plan your project accordingly. I think we were Art?s first venture into Little Rock, so we had to help quite a bit with orienting him to local suppliers. But he has a lot of experience with that now! Finally, they got a bit too much going on during about the middle of the project, making for inconsistent crew and supervisor from one day to the next, and some low-results days. So we would tell one person (or Art) a particular, then find it being done differently, and have to re-do. That problem got better before the end of the project, though. Between that and the uncooperative winter weather, it took longer than it ought to have. Which can translate to more $. I think things might have gone more smoothly if the same senior person had been on site week in and week out, as much as possible.
All in all, we are very pleased with the results!

"Joe from JMS Drain Services was my service technician who arrived well within the window scheduled service time. Joe came in, inspected the sink to determine how to resolve my issue, took out the tool (snake apparatus) to clear the sink, and departed my premises within 15 minutes. I was pleased he resolved my clogged sink so quickly so I could rest after a night's work. Thank you again, Joe."
