"Nathan and his came out and was very respectful of my home. I appreciated the migration efforts they made to keep the job tidy. Fast professional work using top grade materials turned my fireplace and chimney from an eyesore into a focal point in my home. The cost was certainly reasonable especially considering the efforts and the outcome."

"Paco was fast, efficient, and did very good work. He did tile work for our outdoor entryway and rebuilt a rock wall. We were very pleased with the outcome of both projects! I would hire him again in the future!"

"Chris and Jay arrived first to assess what we needed. Both were extremely pleasant and professional, and fixed what they could do quickly. William and Kaleb then arrived on the same day to complete the work on our electrical panel and a socket problem. They were also extremely polite and professional, and did an awesome job!! I would thoroughly recommend Mister Sparky to anyone requiring any electrical work whatsoever."

"What a pleasure to deal with such a trust worthy company! I am dealing with the owner of the company from another state other than the state of Arkansas where the property is located. Communication has been great!! I have talked with Mike personally and his communication via text has been wonderful. Once I hired this company, they were out in 3 days. What a professional outfit they have the they certainly know what they are doing. I would highly recommend them to my nearest and dearest friends and family! Thank you Mike and all who helped with the yard and we’ll see you in 2 weeks!! Jo"

"Jole was an excellent choice to have the work completed. We have had several contractors give bids and not follow through, thankful we did not have these issues with him. He was extremely responsive, professional, and went the extra mile to reach out and notify me of another section of fence that needed to be repaired. Would highly recommended."

Fire Pit Installation questions, answered by experts

Yes, a dead outlet can be dangerous and may cause a fire. The lack of power can be due to a hazardous electrical issue that poses a fire risk. If you notice a burning smell, discoloration, or sparks from a non-working outlet, it is a serious issue. It is vital to have a professional electrician investigate and fix the problem as soon as possible.

Wiring a light switch wrong can cause a fire if the incorrect wiring causes arcing, meaning the current jumps uncontrolled from one conductor to another. Loose wires or worn wires that are not repaired or replaced can cause arcing. If you’re not 100% sure you can do the job safely, don’t attempt to wire a light switch on your own.

According to the National Fire Prevention Association (NFPA), the leading cause of house fires is cooking accidents, followed by fires started by heating equipment. Electrical issues are the third most common cause of house fires. The best way to keep your home protected is to use caution when cooking and never leave a stove or oven unattended while in use. You can also keep up with chimney cleaning and avoid using space heaters to reduce the risk.

Beyond having an inspection, it’s important to do chimney maintenance at least annually to be certain the chimney is safe to use. Cleaning the flue of any built-up particles, creosote, and soot reduces the risk of fire. Fortunately, the cost of hiring a pro to do a chimney inspection often includes a chimney cleaning, so you may not have an extra expense for maintenance.

Yes, it is possible. An electrical fire can break out if the compressor has inadequate ventilation. When it overheats but doesn't have a proper thermal cutout, this can cause the motor to short-circuit and catch fire. This risk is exacerbated if flammable materials, like dust and fallen leaves, are clogging the unit. The compressor overheating won't start a fire by itself, but poor maintenance and installation can increase the risk once it hits its breaking point and short-circuits.
