"I've been using Arrest-A-Pest since 2008, and have had a great experience. Locally owned and operated, Tony and his team take good care of things. They use safe sprays and if bugs are seen between sprays they are happy to come back out at no additional charge. In 8+ years, I've had them come back once. That's pretty good! Recently my small dog ingested a fair amount of the chemical immediately after application and was sick- as with all chemicals, it's best to keep pets and children from them while they are fresh; once dried there shouldn't be any danger. Not only did Tony answer my call after hours, and provide immediate information that I needed for the vet, but he also followed up and checked on us. Great service all around- couldn't recommend anyone higher. "
"I have a contract with them so I have to use them again. It pays for itself eventually if you get good repair people. You don't control who they send."

Spraying mosquitos involves exposing your household to chemicals that may affect their health. Spraying chemicals in your yard can also harm other insects and plants, throwing off your yard’s ecosystem. In fact, some of the insects may naturally eat or kill mosquitos. Consider the personal and environmental effects before installing a mosquito misting system.
Some of the smells we love are, thankfully, pretty putrid for mosquitoes. A few essential oils that might have them swarming in the other direction include:
Lavender
Citronella
Eucalyptus
Cinnamon
Thyme
Be careful how and where you apply essential oils around pets and children, and top them off regularly so they stay effective.
Wasps dislike a great many essential oils, such as clove, geranium, and lemongrass. Combine a few drops of each in a cup and place this cup outside to repel wasps from your immediate surroundings.
Several skin conditions and insect bites can be mistaken for a tick bite, including mosquito bites, spider bites, chigger bites, and even allergic reactions. Tick bites often start as small red bumps, which may develop into a bullseye-shaped rash if Lyme disease is transmitted. However, similar-looking rashes can result from conditions like eczema, ringworm, or hives. Without a visible tick, it can be hard to confirm the source, so it’s best to monitor the area for changes and consult a doctor if symptoms like fever, fatigue, or worsening redness occur.
