"The technician was good. He walked all around the house. Pointed out all the problem areas. Explained what type of termite treatment is needed. Suggested fumigation of the entire house. But the price was too high."

"very professional and did have to come back out one week later to again put our poison. I would have liked for him to climb under house and address where the mice were coming in but that didn't happen. I felt expensive for just putting out poison but I was desperate."

"I cannot recommend this business highly enough! I had to hire them because the last so called professional business chain pest removal did not remove the animals or fix the roof damage even though they were happy to take my money. The wonderful people at Natural State Wildlife Solutions did a VERY thorough examination of the property and animal damage. They gave me a multi tiered quote and explained the services fully. The prices were reasonable and fair. It was very evident that the care, safety, and protection of the animals was a priority. Everyone in the business knows the laws in our state and strictly enforces them. They were kind, supportive, and incredibly efficient at what they do. This was probably some of the best customer service I have ever received. I felt very well taken care of and so were the animals that I had removed. Top notch quality in every category....there's no reason to call any other company, this is the only one you need."

Scents that can help deter them include citrus (such as lemon and orange), herbs like peppermint, mint, basil, thyme, and oregano, spices like bay leaves, cinnamon, clove, and garlic, as well as lavender, eucalyptus, citronella, tea tree oil, and vinegar.

You can use these scents in several ways to create an unwelcoming environment for roaches:

  • Plants: Place mint or lavender plants in your home or garden.

  • Powders and Leaves: Sprinkle garlic powder or place crushed bay leaves and citrus peels in high-risk areas like kitchens, bathrooms, and entry points.

  • Sprays: Create a diluted solution with scents like lemon or vinegar to spray in your home. These can also be used in cleaning products or as room fresheners.

  • Essential Oils: While essential oils of these scents can be used, be cautious as they can be toxic to pets if inhaled.

It is important to note that while these smells can help keep roaches away, they typically do not kill them and may not be enough to drive out an existing infestation entirely. Be sure to clean up all food spills, crumbs, and dirty dishes promptly, and keep trash cans covered with a tight-fitting lid to remove potential food sources.

An outdoor mister can help repel certain bugs like mosquitoes, flies, and other pests. However, not all pesticides can be applied using a misting system.
