"I live in an apartment and my property management company contracted with Superior for pest control. I and several other residents have been dealing with a cockroach infestation for several months now. During the last treatment visit, the technician was rude and unprofessional in his conduct towards me. When I said that not all the roaches were being killed (this was after two months of treatment), he lashed out and told me, "I'm trying to educate you and you're not listening." He also said that I should not expect all the roaches to be killed because he was just trying to keep them under control, not get rid of all of them. He said, "That's why it's called pest control." I expect exterminators to resolve a pest issue completely, not just make the situation a little better. If this had happened in a home that I owned, I would have kicked this man out immediately and found a different company."

However, you’ll still likely get some pests because they can dig as deep as 6 feet below the surface.

By sheer dollar amount, nothing equals a bad termite infestation that can ruin walls, floors, roofs and wooden support materials, requiring massive reconstruction after the pest problem has been taken care of. However, a bad rodent infestation can also cause a lot of damage, as can carpenter ants and bees that made hives within walls. 

Homes provide a stable environment with ample hiding spots, warmth, and protection from the elements, making them ideal habitats for spiders. The presence of insects within homes serves as a major food source for spiders, enticing them to establish their webs or burrows in and around residential structures. The nooks and crannies of homes provide perfect locations for spiders to construct webs or lay in wait for unsuspecting prey.

If you’re having trouble with your traps, first examine them for flaws that would allow a squirrel to escape easily, such as loose doors or hinges. It’s also important to consider the location of your trap: Place it in areas with higher squirrel traffic, and make sure it’s on a sturdy surface so it can’t wobble or tip (squirrels aren’t likely to walk in a trap that isn’t stable). Lastly, try changing out your bait—in-shell peanuts or peanut butter often work best.

False chinch bugs are generally smaller and somewhat paler than true chinch bugs, although they otherwise look similar. The name is a bit of a misnomer: They act very similarly and both feed on plants by sucking out their juices. However, chinch bug feeding tends to be very destructive to the plant, while strangely the false chinch bug does relatively little damage.
