"Very professional. Took as much time as needed to answer questions. Very good attention to detail. Even though a few more rods were needed than originally quoted, they stuck to their original quote price. No surprises. I would highly recommend this company."

"I hired W B Lighting Rods/William Burden to install lightning rods on my home. I spoke to William on a Monday and by Thursday before 1 PM the lightning rods were installed on my home. William explained everything he was going to do before he did it. The lightning rods were affordable and most of all it gives me peace of mind knowing that my home is protected against lightning strikes and fire damage. I couldnâ t be happier with this company!!"

"The problem turned out to be a burned out small electric door switch. I believe the price was way too expensive for the service performed and the price of the door switch. What more can I say? It got done."

Electrical questions, answered by experts

Homeowners in Lanett often make mistakes like skipping the permit process, choosing unlicensed electricians, or neglecting to schedule final inspections. Failing to protect outdoor outlets from heavy rain, overlooking the need for GFCI outlets in damp areas, and not addressing electrical needs in detached structures or well systems are also common missteps that can compromise safety and code compliance.

Helpful?

Electrical projects in Lanett often reveal hidden costs such as fees for required permits, upgrades to meet current electrical codes, and the need to replace outdated wiring in older homes. Additional expenses may arise if wall repairs are needed after accessing wiring, or if moisture damage is discovered. Storm-related upgrades, like weatherproofing or installing surge protection, can also add to the overall project scope.

Helpful?

In Lanett, overlooking regular inspection of outlets and panels can allow moisture buildup and corrosion, especially in humid spaces like laundry rooms. Plugging too many devices into a single outlet, running extension cords under rugs, and skipping surge protection during storms can all strain your electrical work. Ignoring signs of rodent activity or attempting DIY fixes without permits can also lead to early system failures.

Helpful?

When hiring electrical professionals in Lanett, prioritize those with experience in older home wiring and knowledge of local permit requirements. Ensure they are familiar with storm-resistant installations and rural electrical setups, such as well pumps. Ask for references from nearby projects, verify insurance coverage, and confirm they offer warranties and emergency services to address issues common in Lanett’s climate.

Helpful?

New homeowners in Lanett should start by having a licensed electrician inspect the electrical panel and main service line. Upgrading to GFCI outlets in kitchens, bathrooms, and outdoor areas is essential. Installing whole-house surge protection, weatherproofing exterior outlets, and using moisture-resistant materials in basements or crawl spaces will help protect your home’s electrical work from Lanett’s climate challenges.
