"Took over six months to clear 4 acres. Billed for things he never did or the county did for free such as a culvert. Dug at least 4 holes and buried trees/brush on my property instead of burning or hauling off as promised. Never completed the work he was hired to do."

It will take you anywhere from 15 minutes to two hours per tree stump to grind and remove the stump from the ground. The larger the size, the longer it will take to remove the stump. Also, keep in mind that rocky soil may require local excavation services to loosen up large boulders before you can begin to remove the tree stump.

Since overwatering can harm mature trees just as much as a lack of water, it’s important to know the signs of an overwatered tree. Then, build a small campfire on top using kindling and firewood. You’ll need enough to keep the fire going for many hours to completely burn out the stump, especially if it’s large. 

Monitor the fire closely to ensure it doesn’t spread, and have a hose on hand if it starts to get out of control. When the fire is out, break apart the burned stump and dig out what’s left of it.
