"Jim, Steve, Clint and the rest of their crew were great. They would quickly respond to changes or fixes required to get the job done right. Finished product is everything I expected. After working with some flaky contractors in the past, Crestone was a refreshing group to do business with.

"Curtis selected the materials and design to blend in with the rest of the house. He and another employee completed the job efficiently and with true craftsmanship - The trim work was meticulously finished. "Tw roofing is very professional. They worked quickly and cleaned up after the job was done. The roof came out so nice that I had them do the trim around the house and that turned out excellent! it made the house look like an over all remodel."

"We are remodeling an older house and needed someone to re-trim our 2500 square foot home. Reusing some of the old trim and supplementing it with new, Josh was able to make our windows really shine. He showed up to the job site on time and did a fantastic job. He also stepped in and help out wherever there was a need. Prepping the facia board for new wire to be run by cutting a 6 inch swatch all around the house. Josh has a great positive attitude and has been a pleasure to work with.

"The original plan was to updated the stair treads and risers with oak, but Dan was very patient when the scope expanded to a complete removal of the stairs, trim and handrail to replace it all with oak.  He did a GORGEOUS job.   I couldn't be happier with the work that he has done."

Treehouse Builders questions, answered by experts

Watch out for quotes that ignore engineered snow load capacities, as this is a non-negotiable structural requirement in Palmer. Avoid professionals who fail to specify deep foundations to combat frost heave or who suggest generic heating systems unsuited for extreme sub-zero temperatures. A reliable local contractor will always address Mat-Su Borough permitting requirements and recommend specific glazing materials designed to handle intense AK ultraviolet exposure and severe thermal cycling.

Helpful?

For greenhouse and nursery service, keep snow removal tools ready to manage heavy roof loads from Palmer winter storms. Stock backup heating supplies to protect plants during sub-zero drops. Have ice dam prevention materials and drainage supplies on hand to handle rapid spring snowmelt. Finally, keep extra grow light components and frost cloth available to manage the extreme seasonal light shifts and unexpected late-season frosts common across AK.

Helpful?

The longevity of your greenhouse and nursery service depends heavily on structural engineering that handles heavy Palmer snow loads. Build a strong foundation extending below the deep local frost line to prevent shifting. Orient the structure to minimize stress from Mat-Su Valley wind corridors. Install a heating system specifically designed for extreme cold snaps, and select durable glazing materials that withstand intense summer UV rays and severe winter thermal cycling.

Helpful?

Assess your property for poor natural drainage, which compounds spring snowmelt flooding risks around your foundation. Check for trees or hillsides blocking south-facing winter sun, as this significantly reduces solar gain. Older Palmer homes with shallow foundations complicate attached greenhouse and nursery service by transferring frost heave stress. Always locate underground utilities through the state dig-safe program before excavating, and evaluate your lot for proper windbreaks against valley corridors.

Helpful?

In the short term, greenhouse and nursery service dramatically extends your growing season, allowing you to maximize the incredible 19-plus hours of summer daylight. It protects vulnerable plants from unpredictable late spring and early fall frosts. Long-term benefits include increased property value within the deep agricultural heritage of Palmer. Furthermore, producing your own food year-round reduces your reliance on expensive imported groceries shipped into AK from the Lower 48.
