- Henry's Professional Painting.We have just completed the painting of our three story stucco house, ( walls, trim, doors, garage doors) Ramada pool house, wrought iron railing and wood decking with Henry’s Professional Painting of La Mesa and we are extremely happy with the job that they did. We began a few months ago with 4 bids and Henry’s bid was the most competitive and they proposed using the paint I wanted, Dunn Edwards. Ricky did the estimate and I had it within a day. Sara handles the front office and kept me well informed of the work schedules. Rico was the job foreman and lead painter of three. The entire process took four days and this is a well managed team. I normally have to put my nose into contractor work being performed, calling people ( where are you??), admonishing to clean up, help with technique etc. Not so with Rico and his crew. They started and stopped on time, cleaned up and organized their gear, were very thoughtful about the fact we lived in the house during the painting by providing access thru the plastic coverings. As things came up, as the always do with remodeling an older house, Henry's did not break out the hated change order. All work done was within their original bid. The best part of our the job was the paint job, it looks great and has added a lot to our pleasure of the house….no more streaky black marks on the stucco

So I just needed to follow up to see where that last piece have been addressed because everything else looks great that they had done but there's one thing that I was just wanted to make sure that they have gotten to, because I haven't heard from them and the last week was a holiday weekend. There is one item outstanding that I need to follow up on but otherwise they were great, they did a great job for a great price so I'm very happy with them and I'm glad I found them

Henry suggested painting the trim the same color as the new deck, which I hadn't thought of, and gave good advice about the house color to go with it. "I had John come out to evaluate our 21yr old tile roof to determine if we needed it replaced or if some maintenance could see us through another few years. He did a complete evaluation including taking pictures of the problem area and gave me a very complete explanation/estimate of what needed to be done. We ended up needing repairs in 2 areas of our tile roof and on our 2 flat patio roofs, as well as replacing some rotted wood. John kept me informed as to when he would begin work and after he started what he was finding as he went along, and options as needed. He even sanded and repainted the trim along the back of our house as part of the repair to the patio roofs - very thorough & high quality work! "Unlike most contractors, Mike was prompt about responding to my request for a bid and met me at the job site to make sure he understood the scope of work. He needed to carry out a civil engineer's plan to mitigate a flooding problem, and did so without issue. In addition, he suggested some additional steps that could be taken to further reduce the risk of flooding and I hired him to carry that out as well. He did beautiful work and cleaned everything up afterward. This is a family owned business and I would definitely hire them again.

"The painting team was exceedingly professional, well organized and efficient in prepping all surfaces and doing a high quality interior job in just two days. There were careful in moving furniture and promptly returned everything back to where it was. The foreman of the group was gracious and promptly responded to a complaint I had for a peeling surface near one of the windows, and quickly fixed and repainted this part himself and asked repeatedly if there was anything else that needed fixing. There is no doubt that I will return to this company in the future and recommend them to everyone I know.

"I had some problems with them. They did rectified them but it took them coming back 2 or 3 times so I wasn't really happy about that. They did the job but they left a terrible mess afterwards. I'm so disappointed because they portrait themselves as being excellent in their field, their very long term reputation but the way that they fixed the inside of the chimney is disappointing.

"We've had a problem with birds and a squirrel coming down our chimney. One chimney is in the kitchen for an indoor grill, and there is our fireplace in the den. We have rarely used either the grill or fireplace in the mid-century home we inherited from our parents. We decided to get the chimneys capped to prevent animal invasion. Luna's Chimney Sweep had very good reviews, so I called and was informed by Violet what the process is and that they offer a free estimate. I made an appointment and Pedro Luna and his assistant, Chris, arrived promptly on the appointed day and time. Mr. Luna explained their service and also gave us good information about the operation and mechanisms of fireplaces. He did the inspection and told us the problem areas that he found and gave us the option of how much work we would want to have done on the fireplaces. He said they could start work that day if we accept the estimated price, or make an appointment for them to come back another day. We decided to have the recommended repairs done that day, with cleaning and capping of both fireplaces. The work was completed in a little under three hours. Mr. Luna and Chris were thorough, efficient, and neat. He reviewed the work done with us and made sure we were satisfied with everything. They were careful to clean up afterward and the work areas were left spotless. We are pleased with the work done, the price seemed fair, and Mr. Luna was careful to explain everything and to make sure we understood the hows and whys of what he was recommending and doing. I would not hesitate to use his service again or give a referral to others.
