Jesus and Rolando are extremely professional and capable brothers who work very hard to ensure that the customer is happy with their work. If there are any issues such as painting follow up, etc., they do so immediately. It is just the two brothers working and they are starting to get busy, so if you need their help contact them soon! They also provided us an estimate for some additional work and I’m sure we will be using them again

We looked for bid from other contractors and got engineers to get us estimates, but we Found Leon Builders and they provided a 3D walk through design and that helps us see and understand how everything would look. We gave them a chance and they did an excellent job in every aspect of the remodel and Leonardo did an awesome job in many stages of the project from inspiring ideas and compensations for additional things that we had not foreseen or we decided to add on as we moved forward in the project

Anything but professional! Terrible paint job! The trim paint is peeling off in several places, there are paint runs on the trim in multiple places, they did no sanding or repair of holes, a $30K paint job and they only did one coat on the walls and the old color shows through, where 2 colors touch in the corners the paint lines are uneven, there are significant paint puddles in the corners of cabinets they painted and instead of sanding and redoing they painted over them again thinking we wouldn't notice. They cleaned their equipment in multiple places in our yard and in our fountain ruining our grass and our fountain pump. There are paint drips and splatters on the trim and floors. They got paint where it didn't belong at the ceiling line and instead of cleaning it up they cut holes in the ceiling. There is paint on the bar, the ceiling beams, the floor. Our original agreement was we wouldn't pay them until they were completely finished with the job to our satisfaction. Trying to be nice, we paid them a portion with the agreement they would come back to finish the job and clean up. They did come back and did additional work but they made more of a mess and the touch up they did looked terrible. These painters can't paint in a straight line. We wanted them to send a different crew and for the Andres Cuellar to be here to supervise them which he refused. Andres Cuellar is a bully and threatened to put a lien on our house several times so in the end we paid them the rest of the contract amount even though it looks terrible and we had to pay another paint company to fix their work and a crew to clean up their mess. We cited to Andres Cuellar several times that he was not representing the claims of quality work that are on the company website and he simply didn't care. They were 3 weeks past the agreed upon project completion time and still didn't finish to our satisfaction

Superb! Our technician, Tim, was outstanding. All the work took most of four days. He was on time every day and worked smart cleaning up the work sites as he went. He was very meticulous in the quality of his work which required him to be on a ladder a great deal of the time. We are extremely pleased with the quality of the work as well as the fact he was regularly cleaning up the work sites in our house. We will not hesitate to use these folks again

We decided to use the summer to repair/improve the interior of our home (built in 1984). After seeing great responses from Angie's List, we contacted Alamo Handyman for an estimate. Ed came to review our list and provide individual estimates for each job. He had his painter come to provide an estimate as well. This was a huge plus for us so we could ascertain what items we could afford and pick and choose which items were completed. Also, it was one-spot shopping, scheduling, and financing. We had their plumbing team come first to fix the most crucial items. We then had some fix it items repaired by Mike. Later, Michael (different guy), came and installed our porcelain floors. Michael was very friendly and unbelievable helpful. He worked constantly, but meticulously. He did a fantastic job in installing the floor and several other items around the house. I cannot say enough positive things about his diligence, attitude, professionalism and creativity. The painters, Raoul's team, came next. They did a great paint job. The painter was sick for 2 days and came on the third (they did keep us notified). They came in force (2-6 guys). They did not clean up very well and one day they said they were coming and called to reschedule. Michael and Ernesto picked up after the crew left. The vast majority of the work was done within 3-4 weeks (painting and new floors). Excellent job. Ed was great to work with. The estimates were true. They even did some items not contracted for (doorbell, tile around fireplace, clean-ups, etc.) just to make it right. The most helpful thing was that we had 2 major items happen while they were on site. One of our main breakers blew and melted all over the box. Michael was here to ascertain, bought a new breaker and repaired in less than an hour and charged $68!! The next night, a water pipe burst in our front yard (in the same place WillFixIt had "repaired" 3 years prior). We contacted Ed through email and he had plumbers on site first thing in the morning. They dug up, repaired the prior fix, and cleaned up within 2-3 hours and it cost less than $200. Very, very pleased and would (and do) recommend Alamo Handyman to anyone and everyone

We have always had a very good experience with them. We call them they come usually within a few hours. They have the men pricing where they go through and figure out what type of job this is going to be and they will say it is going to cost this much and that is what it costs, there are no add on's or anything. So they are real good about that, they are real good about coming out when we need them and they are real good about telling us upfront what we need. They got right on the job and they were done once they had the line in. They hand dug the line which baffled me, I know it was harder for them to do it that way but I appreciate not completely tearing up the place and everything else just to put the water line. When they come out to fix something it is fixed. We have been using them for about 13 years now and we keep using them because they are our go to people for anything like this

  • Anthony's Make Ready
Nice guys, Paint/Texture excellent and probably the best you'll find. Molding was beautifully done for the most part. When Supervisor Anthony was watching initially, it was a finely orchestrated art. But a 3 day job turned into 3 weeks. They did a lot of back and fourth, unorganized work shifting, and incomplete. If they offer to do a little extra for free, be aware you will be charged hourly fees for employees and material. It's very thoughtful, but not necessarily free. There were a few No Shows, then I asked when they were finishing, and received a harsh response. Then there were a few more postponed dates and the owner and the craftsman finally showed up. The owner kind of made light of the situation, asked the worker to finish, and left. The worker left soon after. Job left undone in several areas. Flooring: I was told workers had experienced with this type of flooring. When I asked the worker he said he had never done it before. There was a bounce along the step, loose and crooked tiles along the step, a bounce by the backdoor and it was glued down and bounced back up. All socket covers were removed at job start and left bare. While removing debris from the job the door was scratched and no one offered to fix it. The molding was incomplete in the hall at the door. Hole left in electrical socket that cover plate did not hide and was just left like that. Some minimal final painting left undone. The owner was supposed to return the next Monday for completion, but he postponed twice again and I threw in the towel. It was just too frustrating. Little things, but combined, significant. Had to hire another company to finish the floor, molding and final touch-up painting. The quality of the paint and molding was exceptional and deserves an A. The wall was a huge repair and it looks Beautiful. They were nice guys, just overwhelmed with jobs. I made the mistake of paying prior to the jobs end at the owners request and in my gut I knew not to do it, but I trusted him. I would recommend for Tape/Float/Texture and Paint, also molding and home construction, but not flooring. They charged me $3 less than Home Depot and I regret hiring them for flooring because it cost me several hundred more dollars in the end. I ONLY know my experience as per the LifeProof flooring. Nothing else. When the work is done, it is done well. And I feel my mistake was the early pay off, otherwise they would have completed the job and the rating would have been an A. I have four rentals being remodeled and I really wish I could have had the faith to contract with them. I just don't like things left undone, and I shouldn't have to beg for things to be done right. Life's too short. But overall, the good outweighs the bad, and the work that was done on walls was great

I chose ARS out of 6 candidates for my bathroom remodeling project because of Marcus Armstrong. When I explained what I wanted done Marcus was the only contractor who said my particular request to have a walk-in shower was possible and gave me some ideas/choices. And what really determined my decision was the bathtub part of the project. I was leaning towards just leaving it as is, until he came up ideas to help me decide. Marcus's ability to visualize possibilities and provide me with great choices is such a necessary talent which I relied on heavily throughout the entire project and is just ONE of his many great qualities. I always felt that he was fully invested in making my renovation a great experience (and restores my damaged, by horrible experiences, faith in hiring contractors) and like it was his only project. So the professionalism is another high quality trait that is greatly appreciated. I could write a book on all the great qualities Marcus/ARS has, but aside from what I've already listed a few more important traits for a contractor to have is integrity, dependability, and honor. You will pay more going through a renovation specialist, but it's worth it because they deal with all the headaches of hiring and management of all the specific contractors needed to accomplish specific tasks. And ARS does so while providing a guarantee that all work will be completed with high quality standards even when the project is complete I know if something fails to work properly or for instance cracks in the grout are forming that Marcus will get it fixed even though my project is completed. That is also worth the extra you are paying for. There is so much more positive things I could write about these guys so I end this with a glowing recommendation for ARS and my next project of renovating my kitchen & living room will definitely be done by ARS

They came out and gave us a bid on the work for the deck, which they stuck by. They were punctual and worked quickly and efficiently. We ran into a couple of complications, which they took care of immediately - we needed to add plywood to the deck for the carpet, which we had not thought about and the paint on the railing began to bubble, for some reason, and they made sure to fix the problem immediately. They removed all the wallpaper from our bathroom and left no mess! They made a point of matching the paint, perfectly, with the paint we had on the walls in the hallway outside the bathroom. After the work was complete, they made a point of making sure that everything was satisfactory. We will be using them for future projects and will recommend them to anyone needing contracting work

Very well. Patrick and his team, Shelby and Mario, were consistently responsive, dependable, and they did quality work. They were particularly good at problem solving, which was often necessary due to some quirks with the house.
