"We suddenly lost the picture on our flat screen Smart TV. We worked with the manufacturer's help desk by phone but it was difficult to analyze the problem with no picture. The help desk informed us it was most likely either the main mother board (which would be expensive to repair and would be about the cost of a new TV) or the backlight/s went bad which would be a less expensive fix. They said they could schedule someone to come out or we could find someone ourselves. We chose to use Angi to help us find a reputable repair technician. We chose Wilwert Electronics. We called their shop and discussed the problem. We were given a ballpark price for the repair, and agreed to bring the TV to the shop for an analysis of the problem. Tony Wilwert called back a few days later and informed us the problem was with the backlights and provided a price for parts and labor which was a lot less than the price of a new TV. He said it would take a week to 10 days to complete the repair. About 2 weeks later, Tony called us and said the TV was ready to be picked up. All was working fine again. Tony and his staff were very personable and easy to work with. He informed us he repairs all forms of electronics. In his words, "if it has an electric cord on it, he will work on it". We will definitively use Wilwert Electronics in the future, if the need arises, and would certainly recommend him to our family and friends.show more

"I don't usually post reviews but I figure I will do so in this instance. Larry was actually decent in the beginning but then he started complaining about whatever situations he deemed "not professional" in the house and kept making derogatory comments about my other contractor as well as being rude to my wife at some point. My contractor is of Mexican descent and Larry for example made repeated comments about how the contractor had no idea what he was doing or that the guy most likely doesn't even know what a garbage disposal is because he never saw one in his life. He also complained that the contractor, while doing the kitchen's backsplash had some grout on the kitchen outlets and Larry felt like he would not change the receptacle covers and he installed them with grout on them to teach him a lesson, not realizing that the contractor would not be the one living at the house. Thought that was really unprofessional. As he was working on another project, my wife called him to ask him how much more would it cost us if he was to do some additional work on our house. Larry's answer: "I am not a Quote machine". I wish him well. I would not hire him again or recommend him to anyone I know due to my experience with him.show more
