Excellent workmanship was exhibited by the installers, and the overall quality of the finished job, was considered excellent. The work crew were also careful to avoid accumulation of debris, and the inside and outside of the premises were left in as clean a condition, as when the work was begun
- Major Homes CorpThe work, once started went well. The masonry work was completed by Lenny's General Contracting Inc. The crew that performed the work, which on most days included the boss, arrived on time, worked full days, and were receptive to any inquiries. At the conclusion of the job in response to a question that I raised with Major Homes, they resealed the driveway to cover some concrete stains left after the work was completed. The remaining work was completed by Major Homes and its contractors and also done very well and with high quality. The improvement in the general appearance of the residence is dramatic and because of the recent improvements, the house should be much better insulated for the winter months. The only issue was the length of time that it took to complete the work.The conversations were started in December 2013 and the work was completed in September 2014. While I recognize that any outdoor work during winter months is not feasible, I had to re-initiate contact with the firm again in April 2014. There were also some fits and starts regarding the initial assortment of replacement bricks from which to choose, vacation scheduling of some of the sub-contractors, and one skylight that was not initially measured to fit. These were not major issues and it was indicated to me that some additional costs were not passed on in recognition of these delays. These delays were not something that would ever prevent me from utilizing Major Homes again for other jobs (the house is a work-in-progress ) nor from recommending them to my friends and neighbors , but it might be an area where better communication between the sales representative Bob (always receptive, knowledgeable, and responsive to issues) and the home office might better coordinate progress on jobs undertake

"Steve did an excellent job on all counts. Steve is very reliable and has a strong work ethic. He did all the work that we agreed upon in the amount of time estimated (5 workdays). Because of my work, I could not be home every day and left Steve and his son, Kyle, to work most days unsupervised with no one in the house. Each day I returned home to see a new room beautifully painted, and the walls repaired and restored. Most of the house hadn?t been painted since we purchased the place 25 years ago. It was a challenge for Steve because it turned into more than just painting. He had to fix a lot of rough areas and corners of the walls that had been damaged over the years. As for the painting itself, I couldn?t have asked for more. Steve did the work with patience and an eye for detail. He did not rush.
<br /> Steve works with his son, Kyle, who is learning from his father. They were so neat. I couldn?t believe that they actually vacuumed the floors when they completed an area, including the stairs! One day I happened to be working from home and at the end of the day, there was Kyle on his hands and knees vacuuming my living room floor with the hose of the vacuum cleaner. As a result, I did not have a mess to clean up after they had finished. They treated my home as if it were their own.
<br /> Steve is very organized. He kept a worktable set up in my hallway carefully stacked with his brushes, and tools, even work clothes and sneakers. They did not leave anything around the house except for a ladder when they completed working for the day.
