Mr. Guypens came out and assessed our job within two days of our call in the middle of a snowstorm. He returned within 4 days and completed the job on budget and in about half the time he had estimated. The fireplace has worked well and we have used it several times a week since the repair. The dryer is in an awkward place in the basement. He discussed all of the options for the vent with us before the work was done. The vent now exits the house unobtrusively behind a bush and we can use our dryer. We are delighted with the work and recommend his company to anyone looking for chimney repair or a dryer vent

They both listened to and answered any questions I had. They used the shoe booties to protect my floors which was nice. Young Mike (the son) took a look at our non vented gas fireplace and helped get it lit and verified it was safe to use. He felt he really didn't do anything so he did not charge me for the fireplace. Mike (the Dad) worked on checking on each furnace. He found a problem with one of our thermostats and suggested the correct type for our furnace. He also recommended a filter. I was very pleased that they came out the same day I called for service. The special they had going ($89 per unit for service), the fact this company does background checks, drug testing etc so they know who they are sending into your home along with the same day service made them my number one choice. I have seen other winter tune up specials which are less which is why I only gave a B on price however I feel it was a fair price. The company has a Comfort Club which is a plan that keeps your service fees down. It seemed like a good deal but we had already renewed our home warranty. It is a sales pitch but I'm sure if you are not interested in a plan you could tell them and they would not push it
- Premier Custom Homes & RemodelingJustin designed and built two gas log fireplaces for our house. One in the kitchen was enclosed in a purpose-built cabinet and trimmed and painted to match the existing room trim. The second was a corner fireplace in the master bedroom, with a custom concealed AV component shelf above the fire box, and also trimmed and painted to match the room trim. Both are perfectly complementary to the rooms, and deservedly serve as focal points. Justin spent a lot of time with us reviewing concept pictures and sketches, and developing the trim design to match the existing room trim. He also reworked part of the AV component shelf in the corner fireplace to accomplish just what we had in mind. While the project took longer than we'd hoped to complete, we are very pleased with the results
- Premier Custom Homes & RemodelingJustin was one of two Angie's list providers we asked to bid this work. Justin's bid was competitive, but his responsiveness helped him win the business. His claim to "not leave the job until we were happy" also meant a great deal in our selection process. We had also wanted some bathroom remodeling done. Justin was up front and said that he could not get that done on our timeline. We appreciated the honesty. All of the work went well. It took Chris a couple of tries to custom match the stains to what we wanted, but that was a key ingredient to our satisfaction. The floors went down smoothly, and looked great. The marble was the most finicky, and when the first attempt did not look right, the team did rework it to make it look great! An important item to note: We had a lot of rain one night after the carpet came up but before the wood went down, and we discovered that we had water coming in under the fireplace insert. Justin helped us find a mason on 2 HOURS notice to come re-grout and help re-seal the chimney to try and help us stay on schedule. As he said, he had people come back to touch up paint, stain, etc. and did not leave until we were satisfied. Thanks Justin

- Coopertown Chimney & Wildlife ServicesWe recently had Coopertown Services out to our house to do a routine chimney sweep to get ready for this winter. We moved into the house a few years ago and had not had the inside of the chimney inspected or cleaned before now. (I figured the home inspector had inspected the inside of the chimney, but he had not - he only inspected the outside.) Coopertown was able to point out some serious safety issues inside of our chimney that were causing smoke and other gasses to leak into the house and water to leak through the chimney. We contracted them to complete all of the suggested repairs and are thoroughly impressed with their work. They covered everything in tarps and were very thorough in their cleanup. The inside of the chimney looks great now and is all sealed up from the firebox through the new top sealing damper. I highly recommend you call Coopertown for any chimney or fireplace needs

"We had a large, tiled half brick/half window walled sunroom we wanted to transform into a comfortable, safe playroom for our son. We also wanted to add an exterior door to the space which required him to remove a window, cut through a brick wall, frame the new doorway, create a threshold and install the new door and hardware. He framed, insulated, drywalled and trimmed out the interior brick walls, making them safe to play around.
