  • Jeff Willoh Fountain Services
I left a message for Jeff and he returned my call the same day. We scheduled the work for the same week. Jeff arrived on time and got to work. Cleaned and leveled the fountain foundation. We will use him every six months. Personable and gets right to work. We like him.

  • Valencia Landscaping
Five Stars plus! Valencia Landscaping is truly an example of what everyone expects from a good company. Francisco, the owner, was the first who responded to a request on Angi for repairing a backyard fountain. He came to my home in short order, gave me a very reasonable estimate, showed up with his crew on time, and they completed the job quickly, and left the backyard in pristine condition. I'm advising all my neighbors to call him if they need any hardscape landscaping, fountain work, BBQ install, pavers or just general cleanup work. I could not have been happier with Valencia Landscape, I'm guarantee you will not regret calling this company

  • Mystic Water Gardens
Expertise, Integrity and Artistry. Mystic Water Gardens will give you a great experience and an outcome to die for. We love our back yard stream! The day after our pondless waterfall/recirculating stream was finished (the whole project only took 2 days) I called Michelle at Mystic Water Gardens to let her know I was so happy with the results I didn’t even know what to do with myself! Truly, what they were able to do in such a short period of time was amazing, and the outcome exceeded our highest expectations – so much better than what I had originally envisioned. Trust Steve, he will not let you down. Owner Steve Sandalis and his crew are absolute professionals who know what they are doing, and then some. This company has no weak links, which helps explain its well-deserved success. They know what they are about, they are experts in every aspect of providing an extraordinarily natural looking water feature in any environment, they worked within our budget and gave us far more than we were expecting. They treated our smaller job with exceptional personalized care, regardless of the much larger projects they had going and are known for. Mystic has an incredible, exceptionally talented team, and they excel at clear communication from the first phone call, to the detailed estimate, throughout the project and completion. In a fun coincidence, one of my business clients sent us a video of their new waterfall and stream, absolutely ecstatic about it. What do you know, it was done by Mystic Water Gardens. We will never go anywhere else for our water feature projects

  • The Green Scene Landscaping & Pools
We live in a new Toll Brothers development so we needed landscaping from the ground up. We loved Scott's plan for our home so off we went on this adventure! It took nearly a full year (Covid didn't help) for everything to be finished but we couldn't be happier with the result. Our landscaping is beautiful, in our opinion best in the neighborhood! So excited to be using our pool and slide. Kiddos love it! Our project manager Frank is the best. He made sure slide steps and platform were safe for the kiddos and kept everything running smoothly. He was always available when we had questions and/or concerns. We are living the outdoor life this spring!

  • California Smartscape
We already had landscape plans (we wanted one set of plans so all our quote comparisons would be based on the same specifications) so we didn't utilize their design services. We obtained 5 bids for our project and narrowed our choice down to two contractors. We went with California Smartscape because we felt they were trying to work 'with us' in getting the yard we wanted with the budget we had. We discussed and made a few design changes on our plan (they had some good suggestions), agreed upon pricing and set up the construction start date. Once construction began, Jay (overall manager) and the construction foreman (day-to-day manager) were our main contact people. As construction progressed, there were a few 'bumps' along the road--the foreman didn't always communicate what was going to be done during the week (a request we had made at the start of the job), and some of the items had to be redone (i.e. part of our fence was built on our neighbor's property and our front dry waterfall wasn't constructed according to the landscape plan). At one point, I was very frustrated with the foreman and I am sure he was frustrated with me. We asked to meet with Jay and Richard to discuss this situation. After that meeting, Jay made sure everything went according to plan and our communication and relationship with the project foreman greatly improved (I have learned recently that the project foreman is no longer with California Smartscape). Richard also followed up with us to make sure everything was going well. An illustration of the company's willingness to do the job right--we had over 30 large boulders that needed placement in the yard, for our dry waterfall and for the backyard pondless waterfall. California Smartscape had rented a crane for several hours. When it appeared that it was going to take longer to complete the job, Jay said not to worry--that he was enjoying the whole process and that they would pay for the extra crane time out of their pocket to make sure all the boulders got placed. During the landscape process, we ended up making several changes (i.e. used a lot more flagstone in our patio, took out our front entry way concrete and made that flagstone, changed from a built-in BBQ to a prefabricated BBQ, added more landscape lights). Jay was always accommodating and worked with us on the changes. He would check in frequently to make sure we were happy and that everything was going OK. The end result--we have a beautiful drought-tolerant, low maintenance yard that we receive compliments on and that we love. California Smartscape did a great job in the physical creation of our yard, but what I think really sets them apart is their customer service. They made sure we were happy with everything (Jay always said that they would do whatever it took to make us happy) and that we were satisfied with the end result (we are!). A couple of weeks ago (June 2013), some of our landscape lights were not working (this is 10 months after the project ended) so I contacted Jay. He sent out some of their workers. They discovered the black control box had gone bad (it sometimes happens) and replaced it at no cost to us. Jay called to follow up to make sure we were taken care of and said to contact him if we had any other issues. That right there, is what makes a contractor a winner in our book--great customer service during and after the job is done. Would we recommend California Smartscape to others? Absolutely yes

Nick and team did a fantastic job from the initial idea sketch all the way through execution. I couldn’t be happier. Vega Landscape was definitely the more expensive quote but I believe you get what you pay for and it was definitely worth it! I have a beautiful usable space.

  • System Pavers
I have been enjoying my backyard with both pavers and artificial turf, a custom dog run, and a fountain that System Pavers designed and installed for me almost seven years ago and absolutely love it. They made my dream back yard come to life--and everything came out exactly as promised and right on budget. The sign of a good company is one that stands behind its work, and System Pavers and Project Manager Ryan Mainwaring, along with colleague Roger Torres & supervisor Luis Paez, personify System Pavers' quality guarantee. When I experienced a small problem this month with part of the installation, despite the fact that everything was almost 7 years old, Ryan and crew came out and fixed the problem and made sure I was satisfied and happy. I could not be happier with my back yard and System Pavers, and highly recommend them

  • The Green Scene Landscaping & Pools
The Green Scene is the best VALUE out there in the pool and landscape industry, but they are not the least expensive. We initially worked with The Green Scene and several other design/build contractors when we were exploring who to hire for our new Toll Brothers home. We initially thought The Green Scene was expensive, and selected another firm that was a little less expensive and doing many projects in our neighborhood. It was a mistake. The other company (name withheld to protect the guilty) lied to us, failed to get HOA approvals, permits, and was unable to build our job in a timely manner, or to the quality that we required and we ultimately fired them. Turned out all of our neighbors had problems too with the other company with poor quality, no shows, over payments, and incomplete projects after living with a mess for years. With much frustration we let them go .. and we are so glad we did! That’s when we reconnected with Scott Cohen and The Green Scene crew and they saved the day. All new design plans and permits were put into motion immediately. The difference between Green Scene and the other company was like night and day … it was astounding! The Green Scene is a brick-and-mortar company that is staffed with professionals that handles all the paperwork, permits and HOA docs. Angel, their detailed Project Manager works behind the scenes scheduling and coordinating the teams. Frank, their outstanding hands-on Superintendent oversees their construction Crew and was there every step of the way to guide us with any questions that we had. Scott, who designed and landscaped our yard with such artistry & perfection!! And lastly … our favorite of the Green Scene crew was “Noe” who was so precise and detailed with everything he touched, from creating our beautiful cast concrete polished counters, dog bone bench, walls, etc. His masonry skills are outstanding! Now that we have completed our project with The Green Scene, our yard is the talk of the neighborhood! In the end we may have paid a little more, but we received a lot more quality, creativity, peace of mind, and a sense of pride in our home that is priceless. Thank you Green Scene, feel free to use us as a reference any time!!!
